Phoenix to Scottsdale
You'll arrive in Phoenix and head to Scottsdale on your own schedule. Spend the afternoon walking around at whatever pace feels right, checking out shops, galleries, or just getting a feel for the area. Later you'll meet up with your travel group for dinner and get to know everyone before the trip officially starts.

Sedona - Williams
This morning you're driving through the Sonoran Desert toward Sedona, where you'll have time to wander around those orange and red rock formations at your own pace. The drive takes you through Oak Creek Canyon, which offers some nice views along the way. By evening you'll reach Williams, a small historic railroad town where your group will have dinner at a local western restaurant. The owners will be there sharing stories about the area's Old West history, which adds something different to the usual meal experience.

Flagstaff
You'll start by heading to Walnut Canyon National Monument to see cliff dwellings left by the Sinagua people. There's a 0.9-mile loop trail that takes you around the canyon with some good views. After that, you'll have lunch downtown whenever you're hungry. In the afternoon there's a guided pottery-making class at the Museum of Northern Arizona where you'll learn about the art and culture of the Colorado Plateau. Your evening is free, so you can explore Route 66 near the hotel or just relax wherever you want.

The staff shares stories about Old West legends during the ride, which helps pass the time. Once you arrive at the Grand Canyon, a local specialist will walk the rim with your group and explain how the canyon formed over millions of years. It's a different way to see the place than just looking at it on your own.

Desert View - Page - Horseshoe Bend
You're starting at Desert View, where there's a Pueblo-style Watchtower and the Inter-Tribal Cultural Heritage Site run by the Grand Canyon Conservancy. After exploring there, you'll head to Page for lunch on your own. Later you'll get to Horseshoe Bend, which is famous for how the Colorado River curves through the red rock landscape. If you want, there's an option to explore a slot canyon with a Navajo guide. In the evening, you can catch a show at Red Heritage, which is owned and run by Navajo performers featuring powwow dancing, flute playing, and live drums along with dinner.

Zion - Bryce Canyon
You'll spend the day in Zion National Park, either taking the shuttle or hiking through on foot. The trails follow routes that Native Americans and early settlers used, and you'll walk through vegetation, rivers, and past huge sandstone cliffs. There's an optional hike to Emerald Pools if you want something extra. Later you're heading to Bryce Canyon. If you're interested, there's an optional barbeque dinner at Ebenezer's with salmon, flat iron steaks, and grilled chicken, plus live country music during the meal.

Bryce Canyon
This day is all about Bryce Canyon, where you'll see those distinctive red, orange, and pink limestone spires called hoodoos. You can walk the rim and learn how water and wind shaped the canyon over a really long time. The afternoon is yours to do whatever you want - relax at your hotel or take an optional one-hour horseback ride through Dixie National Forest. The ride goes up Bristlecone Pine Ridge past trees that are over 1,500 years old, some of the oldest living things anywhere.
