- Allan· April 14th, 2022Our combined Atlas Mountain and Sahara desert tour began with a pick up from our hotel in Marrakesh. We were in company of an experienced trek in morocco tour guide, who had the knowledge of the surrounding Berber villages and Moroccan landscape. He showed us all the beautiful places including the highest mountain peaks, amazing trails, and the sand dunes at the the Sahara desert. After the trip we were dropped off to our hotel in Marrakesh. Thanks Trek In Morocco for the wonderful trip.Show moreTrip date: September 2021
- RTRobin· April 13th, 2022Hossain, the tour organiser was excellent: Available and helpful. Abdul, my mountain guide was also first-rate, taking the right pace up the hill and down, gearing everything to my abilities and wishes. Hassan, my driver, excelled: fun, always with an eye to my comfort, prompt, cannot be faulted. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience of this challenging trek. Toubkal in winter is no joke and, on my day, no-one reached the summit: beaten back by deep fresh snow, driving wind and consequent avalanche risk. But we had a go and the guides were game and competent. The desert experience is much more touristy, but inspiring nonetheless if you have not visited the desert before: astonishing scenery and buckets of history. The story of Telouet is little known but rich and very violent. I took Gavin Maxwell’s “Lords of the Atlas” with me. My only complaint - and it is hardly the trek’s fault is… there was only me on it! Plenty of company for the Toubkal bit because there are lots of others going up, but I was flying solo in the desert. I would add however, that this did not compromise the standards at all: Mercedes people carrier all to myself! My thanks to everyone involved. RT. (UK, April 2022).Show moreTrip date: April 2022
- Prince· April 12th, 2022What an epic adventure? We went on a stunning tour to Morocco with my family—my dad and mum. It was a surprise trip for my parents because they were celebrating their 30-year anniversary this year. While the trip had a lot of driving through the Sahara desert, it was a stunning experience for my parents and me. A view morocco tour guide accompanied us and helped us a lot during the Sahara adventure. It was safe, the local people were friendly, and we ate delicious meals. We will forever cherish the memories of this epic trip. I was so proud to make my parents happy. Thanks trek in Morocco for a wonderful experience.Show moreTrip date: October 2021
- Fran· July 28th, 2019The tour was split into 2 parts - trekking and the Sahara desert: Trekking - Excellent pick up and driver from my hotel to Imlil where we were greeted at the Riad with tea. To allow me to climb Toubkal with other people the itinerary was swapped around slightly. Day 1&2 - Sabir led us to basecamp then the following morning got up extra early to allow us to get to the summit for sunrise. Then all the way back to Imlil. The food, prepared by Mohammed, was absolutely fantastic and I could not fault a think. Day 3 - 5 - trekking around the villages and valleys again with Sabir as my guide. He did an excellent job of showing me different things and his local knowledge was superb. The muleteer (Ahmed) produced some ok food, but not quite to Mohammed’s standards! I would highly recommend the trekking both in the valleys and the Toubkal climb. Sahara - this was a complete let down and did not match up at all to the itinerary or what was promised. Firstly the driver did not speak any English (the tour promotes an ‘English speaking driver’) and very limited French, meaning we spent hours upon hours in the car not knowing what was happening. We made stops for lunch and were pushed into buying scarves to wear in the desert. The itinerary also gave me the option of a trek - this was not offered, nor could I ask the driver about it. After a very long day of travelling the Riad we stayed in was distinctly average. Air con was an extra 100dhr a night. Breakfast was poor - food and drinks not replenished so those not in first missed out. Again another 8-9 hours in the car stopping at various shopping points to get to the desert. At the desert the driver got lost and spent another hour trying to find the drop off points. Again the itinerary said there would be options for a trek - not offered again. The camel ride was a bit of a gimmick. Walked around for 45mins to the tents which were still in view of our drop off point. Take something to do at night in the desert - there is a lot of sitting and waiting around until dinner! In the morning, the itinerary said we would return by camel. Again this didn’t happen and we were just told to walk to the waiting cars. Another 9 hours in the car back to Marrakesh. The driver spent four of those singing incredibly badly until I had to sign to him to stop. Again he took a wrong turning and I had to redirect him. All in all, I would highly recommend the trekking in the valleys however the Sahara trip was nothing like what was sold to me and a disappointment.Show moreTrip date: July 2019
- DLDavid· March 15th, 2019Fantastic tour! 4 days trek in the Atlas Mountain : Our guide and muleteer/cook were incredible! We enjoyed every single minute of the trek with them. Beautiful scenery and so many friendly and interesting locals. Quick tip : Bring your own stash of toilet paper! 4 days trek of the Desert : Great scenery and accomodations. Expect lots of driving as the distance to Merzouga is considerable, but the experience in the desert is worth it! Quick tip : Let your driver know in advance the type of restaurant you want for lunch. It'll save you from stopping at a restaurant that is either outside your budget or not to your taste.Show moreTrip date: March 2019
