Overall, I'm very pleased with the package. There was only one snafu when I arrived in Peru and my driver was not there. However, they got me a taxi so it turned out fine. The hotel (San Pedro Monestario) was modest, rustic, and charming. Definitely no frills but it was fine by me. The communication with TR was very good. I was able to get responses in a timely manor. The guide that was assigned as my contact ( I wish I could remember her name!!!!! She was from South Africa) she was amazing!!!! She helped me off-hours, and really made me feel like I had someone to reach out to at all times. Please tell her thank you from me! There was an mudslide on one of my day tours, and I was given a refund for this being cancelled and that was swift and appreciated. Thank you Tour Radar.

The trek that we went on was really good. The views and the food were amazing! Four course meals and service that we received during meal time was completely unexpected, and better than in most restaurants we had eaten at on our trip. The trek itself, however, was not the trek that we paid for. The trek was supposed to go over two mountain passes, with the highest pass being 4,500m, and camping around 4,300m. We only went over one pass, and the height was only 4,050m. Our campsite, we were told was at 3,900m. Not that big of a deal since we did see the gorgeous waterfall and one of the main Inca sites for the day. According to the itinerary we were emailed, on Day 2 we were supposed to see the Inca quarry at Cachicata, which admittedly I couldn't remember until the trek was over and I went back and read the itinerary again. We were never taken to the quarry, which afterall, was the name of the trek. After reading the emailed itinerary and realizing we not only missed out on the quarry, but a cave and some mummies that are located near the quarry. Of course after reading that, we were very disappointed. Again, the trek we went on was very nice, it just wasn't what we paid a lot of money to see. Because of that, I am afraid I won't be able to recommend it to any of my friends who are planning on going to Peru.

On the first day, we all had the train to Machu Picchu at different hours. I was the first that had to take the train, so I did not have enough time to see the ruins of Ollantaytambo. I had to leave while the rest of the people stayed there. The guide wanted me to pay the taxi to the station, when all the transportation was included, so finally he paid it. When I arrived in Aguascalientes, nobody was there to pick me up. After waiting for 20 minutes, a girl picked me up and we walked to the hostel. The day before the excursion started, I visited your office and I got all the information and itinerary of the trip. I had been told that I would stay in a hostel in the center of Aguascalientes, but the women that picked me up brought me to a very different one, that was on the opposite side of the city. This is not serious, telling people the hostel they will stay at and sending them to a very different one. Once in the hostel, a guy came to explain me what the plans were for the next day. Well, the information I got, was completely different that the one that I got on you office. How is that possible? After visiting Machu Picchu and taking the train back to Ollantaytambo, a girl picked us up, and she asked us to wait for ten minutes until the next train arrives to pick up more people. We had to wait more that an hour in the car. On the way back, there were also local people in the car who paid to the driver to drive them back home, so it was quite uncomfortable because the car was completely full. When you pay quite a lot of money to an agency/tour-operator to make an excursion you make once in live, you expect to have a well organized trip, and that is not what I got.

    1. I downloaded the Trip Plans app as recommended to have easy access to our tour information before our trip. We found the information in the app insufficient and the meeting times for every tour departure were several hours wrong from the information given us on our tour information meeting with Bamba Experience in Cusco. 2. The meeting times for our tour departures were very early (we were completely fine with that), but we would definitely recommend you to provide breakfast when the tour departure time is before the hostel breakfast opens. I book through an agency to make the practical stuff more easy and this would add a lot of value. 3. At the tour information meeting with Bamba Experience we received all the tickets for our Machu Picchu tour, but on day 1 to Machu Picchu we arrived in the park to start our hike (after hopping off the train) and we had all the tickets but our entry tickets. Big thanks to our guide for talking us in! 4. The itinerary for day 1 on the Machu Picchu tour said we would be provided with lunch so we only took snacks with us. For three people to share (without the guide) we were provided with 3 pieces of fruit, 2 bricks of juice, 2 musli bars and 1 piece of TUC crackers. Maybe there were some nuts too. It must have been a mistake. This is not a lunch for three hiking people. We arrived very hungry to Machu Picchu. Our guide didnt have anything to eat, so he was grumpy when we arrived to Machu Picchu and was not in the mood to answer questions about Machu Picchu. He was eager to get back to Aguas Calientes. Who can blame him. As we were very hungry too, we decided to go almost immediately to Aguas Calientes which was catastrofic when we just arrived to the reason we went on the tour. Sorry Bamba Experience but we had a bad experience with you on this tour. But we liked our guide and were very happy to see Machu Picchu. The Quadbike tour was really cool too!

Our guide was excellent, but the rest of the experience wasn't great! What the company tells you, is that it is almost impossible, very expensive and difficult to get to Machu Picchu on your own, And that is a LIE! It's also a lie, when the company gives the expression that every tour in other companies are soldout! Besides of the really good guide we had, there really is nothing good about the experience this company gave me. I spend ALOT of money, that could have been saved, if I either had found another company or if I had went to Machu Picchu on my own
