Itinerary
- Day 1
Tralee
You'll arrive in Tralee, County Kerry's main town, by bus or train from Dublin or other parts of Ireland. The station brings you into a busy town center with plenty of shops, restaurants, and bars scattered throughout. It's a good spot to settle in, grab some food, and get oriented before starting your walking tour tomorrow.

Tralee to Blennerville
After leaving Tralee, you'll take an easy walk heading out toward Blennerville and then onto the lower slopes of Slieve Mish. The route follows roadside paths, canal towpaths, minor roads, and small country lanes through open moorland. You'll see clear views across Tralee and Brandon Mountain ahead, so the landscape starts showing you what this region has to offer.

Blennerville to Annascaul
Today you'll cross a low pass heading south across the peninsula, with views opening up toward Inch Strand, Castlemaine Harbour, and the mountains beyond. The walking takes you across old disused roads, through patches of conifers, past farmland, and along country lanes. By evening you'll reach Annascaul and can settle in for the night.

Annascaul to Dingle
From Annascaul, you'll walk through quiet farmland and country roads to reach Lispole. Then the route crosses hillsides with wide open views before descending into Dingle, a working fishing port town. Once there, you'll find restaurants, craft shops, cafes, and pubs with live Irish music most nights, so there's plenty going on.

Dingle (Rest Day)
This is your rest day in Dingle. The town has strong musical traditions and good restaurants and bars to explore. Boat trips run from the harbor if you want to get out on the water, or you can just wander the streets and get a feel for the place at your own pace.

Landmarks/POIs Dingle Harbour - Day 6
Dingle to Dunquin
Starting from Ventry, you'll walk along a nice beach before heading up onto the shoulder of Mt Eagle. The views from up here stretch across Slea Head toward the Atlantic and the Blasket Islands. You'll pass through small roads and country lanes on your way to Dunquin in the Gaeltacht region, where Irish is the main language spoken locally.

Dunquin to Cloghane
This is a strong scenic day with cliff-top sections, beach walks, and rugged coastline all along the route. You'll follow coastal paths, minor roads, and fine beaches with dramatic views down to the ocean. Along the way, stop at the Louis Mulcahy pottery craft centre to watch potters at work and even try throwing some clay yourself if you're interested.

Brandon Mountain
This is the most challenging day of the tour, taking you across the shoulder of Mt Brandon and down to Brandon Bay. The mountain is sacred and named after Saint Brandon, with an annual pilgrimage happening here. You'll navigate moorland, hillside trails, minor roads, and field paths before reaching easier terrain on the descent into Cloghane.

Cloghane to Tralee
You'll leave Cloghane this morning with transport arranged to take you back to Tralee, wrapping up your walking tour. This gives you time to reflect on the week and catch a bus or train onward if you're heading elsewhere in Ireland.
