Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival in Camp
You'll head to the small town of Camp to start your trip. The best way to get there is taking a bus or train to Tralee first, then catching a local bus or grabbing a taxi for the final leg to Camp. You'll get detailed travel instructions before you go.

Camp to Annascaul
This is a walking day across moorland and farmland with views stretching toward Inch Strand, Castlemaine Harbour, and the mountains around you. The route takes you through Annascaul village, which has a connection to explorer Tom Crean who went to the South Pole with Shackleton. The South Pole pub in town displays artifacts from his travels, so it's worth stopping by if you're interested in that history.

Annascaul to Dingle
You'll walk through farmland heading toward Lispole, then turn north toward the mountains where the views open up nicely. By afternoon you reach Dingle, a small fishing port with plenty of restaurants, craft shops, cafes, and pubs featuring live Irish music. If you want to rest here longer, you could book a boat trip out to the Blasket Islands to see Fungi, the dolphin who's lived in the waters for over 20 years.

- Day 4
Rest Day in Dingle
Today's a rest day in Dingle, giving you time to walk around this charming fishing town. There are good restaurants and bars scattered throughout, and many places have live Irish music in the evenings. From the harbour, you can arrange an eco boat trip to the Blasket Islands where you'll spot dolphins and puffins if the weather cooperates.

- Day 5
Dingle to Dunquin
Starting from Ventry with a nice beach walk, you'll then head up the shoulder of Mt Eagle where views spread out across Slea Head toward the Atlantic and the Blasket Islands. The walk finishes in Dunquin, located in the Gaeltacht region where Irish is the traditional spoken language of the peninsula.

- Day 6
Dunquin to Cloghane area
This is a really scenic day with dramatic cliff-top sections, long stretches of beach walking, and rugged coastline throughout. The Louis Mulcahy pottery craft centre is definitely worth visiting along the way. You can watch potters working at their wheels and, if you want, have a go throwing pottery yourself.

Landmarks Louis Mulcahy Pottery Cloghane - Day 7
Cloghane area to Cloghane
The most challenging day of your trip involves crossing the shoulder of Mt Brandon with views that make the effort worthwhile. You'll descend toward Brandon Bay and then walk easier terrain into Cloghane. Mt Brandon is a sacred mountain named after Saint Brandon, an explorer from ancient times, and people make a pilgrimage up it each year.

Departure from Cloghane
Your final day wraps up the trip. You can arrange a transfer back to either Tralee or the town of Camp depending on where you need to go next.
