Livingstone
You'll meet the group at 2pm in Livingstone and dive into two days around Victoria Falls. The falls drop dramatically into the Zambezi Gorge, and there's plenty to see. If you're up for it, white water rafting on the Zambezi or a 111m bungee jump are options, though those come out of your own pocket. Otherwise, walking along the falls and taking in the sheer scale of the place keeps you busy.

- Day 3
Livingstone to Kafue River
This is a long driving day heading across the rolling Miombo forested hills of southern Zambia toward the Kafue River. The landscape shifts through open woodland and you'll spend the night camping right by the river, so you get to settle in and rest after the road time.

- Days 4 - 5
Zambezi River Canoe Safari
You'll paddle down the Zambezi River, passing local villages along the banks and moving through great scenery. After that first day, you camp wild on an island in the middle of Africa. The following morning continues the canoe safari through areas where elephants, hippos, and other wildlife hang out. A motorboat gets you back upriver to your starting point by afternoon.

Landmarks Zambezi River - Day 6
Zambezi to Lusaka to South Luangwa
Head into Lusaka to grab supplies from the shops and markets in Zambia's capital. After stocking up, you'll take the Great East Road and drive through the afternoon and into the evening to make serious progress toward South Luangwa. It's a long travel day, but gets you to the park sooner tomorrow.

Landmarks Lusaka - Days 7 - 9
South Luangwa National Park
You'll make your way into South Luangwa National Park, dropping down into 'the valley' where hippos, elephants, lions, and leopards live. Camp sits right on the Luangwa River banks. Your time here includes game walks during the day and open 4WD game drives at night with spotlights to catch nocturnal animals active in the darkness.

Landmarks South Luangwa National Park Luangwa River 
- Days 10 - 11
Lake Malawi
Travel heads toward Malawi, and you'll stop in Lilongwe to restock with fresh supplies at the local markets before moving on. From there, the group reaches your camp on the beach at Lake Malawi. Later, a boat takes you out to explore the islands, checking out the bays and coves scattered around the area.

Lake Malawi to Lilongwe Departure
After breakfast that the tour leaders provide, a mini-bus transfers you from Lake Malawi back to Lilongwe in time to catch your departure flight. That wraps up the trip.
