Itinerary
- Day 1
Phnom Penh
You'll arrive at Phnom Penh International Airport and head to your hotel to settle in. The afternoon is when things get interesting - start with Wat Phnom temple sitting on a small hilltop, which is actually where the city was founded. From there, you'll move on to the Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda, where you can see gold, silver, and crystal Buddha statues. The National Museum comes next, and it houses the best collection of Khmer sculpture around. By evening, you'll take a scenic river cruise on the Mekong with refreshments as the sun sets over the water.

Phnom Penh to Siem Reap
After breakfast, you're heading to Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum, a former school that was used as a Khmer Rouge prison and torture center. It's heavy but important history. Then you'll browse the Russian Market for wood carvings, stone pieces, jewelry, and Cambodian silk. Later you'll fly to Siem Reap (your own booking). Once there, you'll get on a boat to explore the floating villages of Kampong Phluck on Tonle Sap Lake, seeing stilt houses and local wildlife. The evening wraps up checking out Siem Reap's local markets and street food.

- Day 3
Siem Reap
You'll start early with breakfast before heading to Banteay Srei temple, known for its pink sandstone and detailed carving work that shows classical Khmer art at its finest. On the way back, you'll stop at local communities to see how they make palm sugar and try some. The afternoon takes you through the grand circuit temples including Ta Som, which has a massive tree growing right through the eastern gopura, and Neak Pean, a small island temple with pools arranged in a cross shape. You'll return to your hotel after that.

- Day 4
Angkor
After breakfast, you're taking a tuk tuk into Angkor Thom, the last major capital of the Khmer Empire. The South Gate hits you first with its four-faced stone tower. Then it's into Bayon Temple with its 54 towers and those famous 216 smiling faces carved all over, plus over a kilometer of bas-reliefs. You'll see the Terrace of the Elephants and Terrace of the Leper King next. Ta Prohm comes after, that temple with trees growing through it, along with Banteay Kdei monastery and Srah Srang pool. The afternoon shifts to Angkor Wat, which was built to represent Mt. Meru and has thousands of Apsara dancer carvings on its walls. You'll finish by watching the sunset from Bakheng Mountain.

- Day 5
Siem Reap
This morning you'll visit Artisans d'Angkor, an arts and crafts school that started in 1992 to help Cambodian youth learn traditional skills and find work in their villages. You can browse and buy wood carvings, stone pieces, and silk paintings. After that, you'll head to the airport for your flight home.
