- Anne· November 12th, 2019The overall experience was fantastic! This tour really took the stress out of travelling - all you had to do was relax and enjoy the ride. The only criticism I have is I would have loved more time in some places and less in others. My next tour I will definitely be booking with Expat Explore.Show moreTrip date: October 2019
- LVLaurencina· October 29th, 2019Steve and Will were wonderful. The place we went were amazing, but I wish we spent more time in the smaller villages than the bigger city’s. I was with a great group of people who are now friends. Most of the hotels were great, but there were a couple that were a couple that were horrible. Over all I would love to take another tour!Show moreTrip date: September 2019

Asked on December 16th, 2024Is transport from one country to another, for example, Switzerland to Germany, included during the tour?
- Expat Explore TravelOperator•Written December 2024
Yes, it is included. What we offer are Coach Tours and once the customer joins our tour at the starting point, all transports will mostly be through our Coach until the customers are dropped off at the end of the tour.

Asked on August 20th, 2024Can you please let me know is the tour guide and bus driver the same for the entire tour and how much walking would you say is required per day
- Expat Explore TravelOperator•Written August 2024
For each Tour Departure, we do assign 1 Tour Leader and 1 Bus/Coach Driver for the entire duration. However, there are a few situations that we might have to change Drivers or Tour Leaders but not often. During walking tours, some might be guided by a Local Guide but the assigned Tour Leader will still be with the group. We believe the best way to get to the heart and soul of a city is on foot, surrounded by the people and the culture. For this reason, we do walking tours through most of the cities we visit. Many of the cities you visit are vast and old, often with steps and cobblestones. Our walking tours can last up to 3 hours with plenty of opportunities to take photographs and soak up the history of these fascinating places, but you do require a certain level of fitness to enjoy your tour to its fullest.

Asked on July 2nd, 2024are this walkable city where i can walk from the hotel? which airport do i fly into Rome and departure airport when purchasing air ticket? is it easy to take public transport from the airport to the hotel? I would love to be paired with same sex gender, however, what if there isnt any?
- Expat Explore TravelOperator•Written July 2024
The Preferred Airport by customers in Rome is the Leonardo Da Vinci Airport (FCO) and in Amsterdam is Amsterdam Schiphol Airport. We recommend using public transport for airport-to-hotel transportation. If you prefer a transfer service, you can easily book through Welcome Pickups, a user-friendly platform with competitive prices.

Asked on June 21st, 2024We definitely have 4 people interested. So that would then be 2 single rooms and 1 double room.
- Expat Explore TravelOperator•Written June 2024
A single supp/private room upgrade for this tour is currently 1386.00 AUD per room. This will ensure that you have your own bedroom and private bathroom for the entire tour. Please note that single supplements are very limited and are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

Traveler•Written June 2024will you arrange a day trip from Geneva to Lucernce or can you recommend to us?
- Expat Explore TravelOperator•Written June 2024
Regrettably, we do not offer day trips. Our shortest Itinerary is 7 Days. We do have Optional Excursions (short trips) offered, but this are offered for specific tours (with either 7 or more day itineraries).

Rachel
Traveler•Written June 2024I'm referring to the free day in Geneva. And the itinerary stated that we could take a train to Lucernce if we are not interested in going to the alps. Hence, i am wondering if the guide can recommend a day trip to Lucernce or show us where to get the train ticket.
- Expat Explore TravelOperator•Written June 2024
That is not an Optional Service/Excursion that we offer, if a customer wishes to take that route, then they would have to make their own way and meet back with the group afterwards. It would be something that you arrange and just maybe, the Tour Leader can make recommendations during the tour.

Asked on May 3rd, 2024I am looking to book a trip, it's between this one and another for me, I think that the deciding factor might be accommodations. The other trip lists the exact hotels that we'd be staying in, can I please have a list of the hotels that would be used during this trip, please?
- Expat Explore TravelOperator•Written May 2024
Our team books the Hotels for the tour closer to the departure. But, you may check the PDF File I attached, to see the names of the Hotel that we have contracted for this tour.

Asked on March 21st, 2024Are international flights included in the tour price?
- Expat Explore TravelOperator•Written March 2024
Whilst internal flights are covered for certain itineraries, you will have to make your way to the meeting point for the start of your tour. When booking flights be mindful of departure times and possible delays.
Tip: We suggest that you start comparing prices the moment your deposit is paid to avoid costly flights.

- Expat Explore TravelOperator•Written March 2024
We make every effort to include local cuisine on our tours to ensure an authentic experience for you. You'll receive an email before the tour begins, where we'll ask for your dietary preferences. We always have a vegetarian option, and we'll work hard to accommodate any other dietary needs or preferences you may have.

Asked on March 21st, 2024Do I need to exchange cash before I leave?
- Expat Explore TravelOperator•Written March 2024
Contactless payment is widely accepted across Europe – it’s best to bring a payment card with no overseas withdrawal fees.
* Keep in mind that certain optionals are payable in cash to your tour leader whilst on tour. We suggest that you talk to your Tour Leader about when & where to draw cash to pay for the optional excursions.
