Day 1
Arrival in Istanbul
You'll land in Istanbul and get taken to your hotel in the city centre. The evening is yours to relax and settle in before things get going tomorrow.

Istanbul Old City Tour
A guided tour takes you through Istanbul's Old City, starting in Sultanahmet where you'll see the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia. From there, you walk through Topkapi Palace and spend time in the Grand Bazaar. After the tour wraps up, you have free time to wander the Spice Bazaar on your own.

Istanbul to Cappadocia
After breakfast, you head to the airport for your flight to Cappadocia. Once you arrive, the North Cappadocia tour kicks off in Goreme with stops at the Open Air Museum, Esentepe Panorama, and the village of Avanos. Later you'll see Monks Valley and Devrent Valley. If you want, there's an optional Turkish Night Show and dinner in the evening.

Cappadocia to Istanbul
The morning offers an optional early hot air balloon flight or quad bike safari if you're interested. After breakfast, you transfer to the airport for your flight back to Istanbul. Depending on your plans, you'll either head straight to the airport or get dropped at your Istanbul hotel if you're staying longer.

I had a very tight window of time to see as much of Turkey as I could. Everything was well planned and it went very smoothly. My only issue is that they were charging $282 for a balloon ride. When I was in Cappadoccia I saw that the same company was charging people $150. I understand that they need to make a profit, but almost doubling the price is a bit much in my opinion. Use them for everything else, but book your balloon flight yourself.

Payment information
- For any tour departing before January 12th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after January 12th, 2026, a minimum payment of 20% is required to confirm your booking with Alaturka Turkey – Tours & Blue Cruises. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 60 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
