- AAnonymous· January 21st, 2023Once in a lifetime experience! Went in April and the weather was sunny with temperatures dropping as we got higher. The organisation right from the start was excellent. Everything worked like clockwork throughout. The pre-trek briefing prepared us for the trip and the Kathmandu hotel was first class. The Porters actually did the hard work and seemed to make it look easy! For me though the guy who really made it an extraordinary adventure was our Guide: Milan. Nothing was too much trouble, he coaxed and cajoled us when the going was tougher and set a pace that meant that we all made Base Camp. Absolutely one of the nice guys! Fab company and fab crew!Show moreTrip date: April 2022
- AAnonymous· January 19th, 2023Guide Pasang Dawa Sherpa - An Amazing Man! By: Larry C In completing the challenging trek to Mt. Everest Base Camp in October 2022 with Ace the Himalaya, we were so blessed to have Pasang Dawa Sherpa as our guide! Pasang was absolutely amazing! He not only led us every step of the way, but he was always so positive and encouraging. Pasang literally guided us from our hotel in Katmandu, riding with us on the long, winding road to Manthali for the flight to Lukla, then following our trek to Everest Base Camp, and Mt. Kalapathar, he remained with us all the way back to Kathmandu. The following day, we met with him for a celebratory dinner, and he presented us with special certificates for completing the trek successfully. During the trek, Pasang took care of all arrangements, even helping serve our meals and making sure we all remained healthy and acclimatized to the high altitude trekking. Pasang is such a friendly, humble man, but he always took charge of everything, and every village we came to he was so well known and respected by everyone. Pasang had a great sense of humor and an unlimited knowledge of the mountains, the cultures, the religions, and the history of the Khumbu Region we were hiking through. He was such a great guide in every way, and I would feel so privileged to follow his lead again when I make my next trip to Nepal. Larry ComptonShow moreTrip date: October 2022

- MEMichelle· January 17th, 2020From pick up at the airport by our head guide, Pasang, to the final departure with Pasang, Ace the Himalaya proved to be a very professional and well run tour company. 10 of the 12 from our group managed to reach Lukla to commence our hike on time, while 1 flight cancellation caused two to catch a flight the following day. This can be a problem, sadly, but the two girls were well looked after with Pasang staying behind to ensure they could catch us on the next available flight. The rest of us were also well taken care of by our assistant guide, Kalika (also known as Legend). Kalika stepped up to fill Pasang's shoes very nicely, and despite his more limited English skills, Kalika still managed to organise the porters, our rooms, meals and trekking for 2 days before the rest of the group could catch up. He was exemplary, hence being called the Legend! Pasang encouraged Kalika to keep being the main guide for the trek, taking on more of a mentor role, but was always on hand should there be any queries or issues that needed extra care, and was continually asking after our health and fortitude for the 14 days. Due to the fantastic guidance, and the fact that we were lucky enough to have a great group from varying countries, all 12 of us reached EBC with only minimal effects from the altitude. My particular favourite moment was Kala Patthar at 5555m above sea level. I would definitely recommend Ace the Himalaya to anyone wishing to head to EBC, or any of the other destinations offered by the company. Professional, safe and caring all the way.Show moreTrip date: November 2019
- Ppetra· January 17th, 2020Everest Base Camp I usually don’t write reviews but in this case I felt that everyone should know what a world class company Ace really is. From the very first email until even now after the trek is done, they have never failed to keep me in the loop with info, changes and updates regarding my personal questions or anything related to the trip. They are a fast, sufficient and caring company with their hearts in the right place. I felt very much prepared to embark this journey with Ace and I’m happy I did. I did the EBC trek in October 2019. Our guides Madan (Lead Guide) and Rupesh (Assistance Guide) where the best guides I could ever wished for. They both made sure that we were doing fine throughout the trek. Every evening they would inform us of what was going to happen the next day and if there was any concerns or worries Madan had this gift of making us feel better. His positive attitude was very helpful and he made us feel that we could succeed in anything if we put our positive mind to it. Unfortunately I became sick on part of the trek. Rupesh would always come and check on me a few times a day. Even when the doctor came around for me it was Rupesh who stayed with me. I thought that was very kind of him. Madan at the other hand was very caring and made sure that I did what I needed to do. He would check up on me all the time, making sure that I drank enough fluid, ate the correct food and take my medicine. He would ask me a few times a day how I was feeling and made sure I was sleeping well. At one point I became very tired and weak. Madan would walk with me, he would never rush me into anything and even carried my bag for me for the last 3 days. He was patient, professional, showed a strong leadership presence, very funny, uplifted, knowledgeable and has a kind heart. Qualities which will take you far in life but certainly something what is needed as a guide on a challenging trek like EBC. I believe that if it was not for Madan and Rupesh to be so supportive and caring I might not of made it all the way up to EBC. For this I’m forever grateful. The porters were young boys with great strength. Our bags were picked up in the morning and dropped off at our next destination before we would arrived without fail. They were always happy and polity. If you can live without internet, hot water and luxuries for some time, if you love mountains and are open for different food and culture. If you dare to jump right out of your comfort zone then definitely this is the thing to do. No regrets at all. Thank you Ace, Madan, Rupesh and porters for this incredible experience. I definitely will recommend you all to my friends and who knows I might even come back one day. Petra xShow moreTrip date: September 2019
- Sarah· December 23rd, 2019This was by far one of the coolest things i've done in my entire life. Super challenging and super rewarding all at once! Madan and Rupesh were some of the greatest trek guides that I've ever had on any continent - they were so knowledgeable about the history of the trek and they ensured that we were deeply rooted in the cultural experience along the trek. They were also incredibly caring - which is important when you are trekking to new altitudes that you have never been before. They would always be asking us how we felt and if they could get us anything at all. Overall, I would recommend this company to anyone who wanted to trek to EBC - and if you want to have the best experience, try to get a trek led by Madan & Rupesh! :)Show moreTrip date: October 2019

- JBJamie· June 11th, 2019Ace the Himalaya was an excellent choice. I did a lot of research before and saw that overall they had the best reviews and feedback. Our guide Dipesh and assistant guide Rabi were amazing. They made the trip even better than it was. They were caring and helpful and we didnt have to worry about where to stay, what to eat, and where to go. I highly recommend Ace and will hopefully get a chance to use them again! Overall, the trip was exactly what I knew it would be-a trip of a lifetime and Ace is definitely the main reason why...oh yeah and those amazing Himalayas :)Show moreAce the Himalaya commented on this reviewHi Jamie, thank you for the wonderful review.
