- Day 1Arrival in TokyoStaff will meet you at the airport and help you get on the Airport Shuttle Bus to the Imperial Hotel Tokyo. Once you settle in, the hotel arranges meals based on when you arrive so you can have something warm to eat and rest after your flight. - Meals

- Day 2TokyoStart at Hibiya Park to see the gardens and seasonal colors, then head to the Imperial Palace Nijubashi Bridge for photos. Walk through Sensoji Temple and pass under the Kaminarimon Gate to experience Tokyo's oldest Buddhist sanctuary. Later, spend time shopping and dining in Ginza, check out the modern Azabudai Hills complex with its shops, and see the digital art installations at teamLab. - Meals

- Day 4Fuji Hakone National ParkSpend the day in Fuji Hakone National Park checking out the mountain scenery and outdoor spaces. Visit Owakudani to see the steaming landscape with sulfurous vents and black eggs, then go to the Hakone Museum of Art with its pottery and gardens. Walk through the Hakone Open Air Museum with sculptures and Mount Fuji views, and end at Miyanoshita Onsen Town with its hot springs and traditional ryokans. - Meals

Wander through the famous shopping and street food district, try local specialties like okonomiyaki and kitsune udon, and our guides provide maps and suggestions to help navigate the busy area. - Meals

- Day 6Osaka - Nara - ShigaStart in Osaka by checking out Osaka Castle Park for its history and views from the top floor. Travel to Nara Park to see temples and interact with deer, then visit the Todai-ji Temple with one of Japan's largest bronze Buddha statues. After visiting the Miho Museum (or Nijo Castle/Sanjusangendo if needed), head to a hot spring hotel near Biwa Lake in Shiga. - Meals

Visit the Tenryuji Temple to see its Zen gardens, then head to Kyoto to see the Kinkaku-ji Temple with its gold foil covering. End the day with a Yuzen Dyeing Class where you'll learn this traditional Kyoto artform and make your own piece to take home. - Meals

- Day 8KyotoClimb the pilgrimage path to Kiyomizu Temple for views of Kyoto from above. After lunch, you have free time to explore Kyoto in depth. A half-day walking tour takes about 1.5 miles on fairly flat ground in roughly 1 hour, then a 1-hour break at a cafe near Maruyama Park, followed by 0.8 miles in about 45 minutes ending at the pilgrimage path (which is uphill). You can also explore Nishiki Market or visit Fushimi Inari Shrine with its red torii gates if you'd like. - Meals
