- VHValerie· November 24th, 2024Right from the very start with a very detailed itinerary, with our very professional guides Nicki and Sarah, who made sure our cycling journey was enjoyable, fun, safe and a memorable experience. It was our first organised bike tour, and unsure what to expect. We were picked up in Queenstown, shuttled to Clyde, outfitted then shuttled to Cromwell to begin the adventure. The weather couldn't have been better, with the exception of a strong headwind to Middlemarch on day 4. All the accommodation was very comfortable and the food choices were great. Our bags were transported to the next accommodation without any issues. Our whole Otago Rail Trail ride went without a hitch, we had a terrific group of people on the ride, and Nicky and Sarah made sure we had everything we needed. Organisation, friendliness of staff, professionalism, safety and equipment. They have the complete setup from start to finish. We will be booking again with them.Show moreTrip date: November 2024

Asked on June 1st, 2016I am looking for a 3-5 day bike tour that is relatively easy and takes in beautiful scenery. Which of your tours would be best?
- Adventure SouthOperator•Written June 2016
We have 2 Rail Trail Tours, the Classic which starts and ends in Christchurch, and the Queenstown Rail Trail which starts in Queenstown and ends in Christchurch. The rail trail is a great cycle trail which has easy gradients, is off-road, passes through some beautiful scenery and it suited to riders of all abilities. The length of the cycle way is 150km and is broken down into 5 easy days. If you are a strong rider, you also might like to consider the Alps to Ocean which is a 6 day cycle tour which starts in the mountains near Mount Cook and ends on the coast at Oamaru and passes equally stunning scenery.
