- Elita· June 3rd, 2023The tour exceeded my expectations and was great value for money. There was lots of free time and didn't feel rushed. Our tour guide Vaso was exceptional and went above and beyond with everything. She had a great attitude and was fun too. The tour had a good mix of ages and nationalities. Restaurants and food was excellent and we had an amazing group. Lovely memories!Show moreTravel Talk commented on this reviewHi Elita, thank you for your review, glad you had a wonderful time on your trip. All the best. Travel Talk TeamTrip date: May 2023

- SHScott· August 17th, 2019Amazing value. People, places, and guide were wonderful. Accommodation was very poor and I was always concerned for the safety of my stuff and self in the room as well as disgusted by the rooms. Mykonos room had a broken AC and the Santorini room had no shower curtain so the bathroom got soaked when anyone showered. The santorini room also wasn’t cleaned when we checked in as there were cigarettes butts in the room, empty bottles of booze, and a broken night table.Show moreTrip date: August 2019
- ETEsther· July 20th, 2019Our guide, Kostis was extremely helpful and very welcoming. He went out of his way to include us into the group and research buses/taxi prices for us. Part of your experience may be determined by the participants of the tour. At times it was frustrating trying to listen to Kostis when He was giving us a tour of town/landmarks both on doors and bus as others were quite loud. The first hotel was quite far from Mykonos town (25 min walk along a busy road or 20 euro taxi ride). Location of the hotel was not that great, particularly at night when coming back from town. The hotel in Santorini was in Fira, a 7 min walk to the main area. And ~30 mins to Oia (bus ride). The bus stop was a 5 min walk from the hotel. Keep expectations low for the hotels! Perhaps comparable to a 2 star Inn/Motel in North America. Breakfast at Hotel Alex was not special, we skipped out on the second day to eat in town. Breakfast at New Haroula hotel was good. For the most part, we did our own thing on the tour as we wanted to spend more time exploring the town. Though we found transportation to the ferry ports and back to hotels to be helpful. Keep in mind that the tour does not cover transportation to the airport. Not so sure if the tour was worth the price!Show moreTrip date: July 2019

- PHPeter· June 5th, 2019I would not recommend the company if you are a solo traveler. I was booked with 3 other people in a single room. Was uncomfortable and my expectation was that there was 2 people per room max. Accommodation was average. Little to know activities. Not really sure what I paid for. - Ngarimu· August 18th, 2018My partner and I did the 5 day Island hope tour as part of a one month trip by ourselves around Europe and it was the highlight of our travels!! Our guides Kosta & George were so cool to hang out with. They always made sure we had flexible options to enjoy the island we were at. The best part was the people we met. Like minded, mature, fun loving, and adventurous souls we connected with immediately. Thank you all so much for the time of our lives! We will definitely be doing more tours with Traveltalk! It’s so much nicer when you have someone organising the logistics for you and the tour is really good value for money. Check about the local payment well in advance so you have the extra money on you (paid in cash in GBP)Show moreTrip date: August 2018

- Yesenia· August 22nd, 2017What an amazing experience! Our tour guide Lydia was absolutely exceptional. Don't let the itinerary online throw you off. Lydia actually had a more in depth fun-packed low cost itinerary. The internet at the hotels could of been better but hey, your on vacation and having bad internet in the rooms is one way to help disconnect from the real world. I would absolutely recommend this tour to everyone, especially if your traveling solo. Thank you Lydia! I really appreciate everything you did for us.Show moreTrip date: August 2017

Asked on April 24th, 2025Do you pick us up from the airport, or do we have to find our way to the hotel? On the last day of the tour, will you take us back to Mykonos, or do we have to find our way on our own?
- Travel TalkOperator•Written April 2025
Airport pick-up is not included. However, we do provide transportation from the ferry port to the hotel and from the hotel back to the ferry port during the tour. The trip will officially end in Santorini at 11:00 AM on the final day. From there, you'll need to arrange your own transportation back to Mykonos or any onward destination.

Asked on July 10th, 2023How long it takes to get from Athens to Mykonos? Is it possible to fly from Santorini to Ephesus (Kusadasi)? What is the cost of the pre-accomodation for 2 nights before the tour starts?
- Travel TalkOperator•Written July 2023
It takes around 5 hours to get to Mykonos from Athens by ferry. We are sorry to inform you that there is no airport in Kusadası but you can take a flight to Izmir first and take a bus to Ephesus after. Unfortunately, we don't provide pre-accommodation services on our Greece tours but if you wish, we can give you the contact of your arrival hotel when it is finalized so you can book it directly.

Asked on April 2nd, 2023How many people are booked at the moment on the 29th May tour? Also as a single traveller can you share a room?
- Travel TalkOperator•Written April 2023
Currently, we have 31 reservations for the 29th of May departure. If you choose to stay in a shared room, you will be roomed with another solo traveller of the same sex unless you have a friend travelling with you. But if you wish, you can still have your own private room by paying a single supplement. The cost of a single supplement on the 29th of May departure is an additional 671 GBP on top of the tour price.

Asked on January 14th, 2023Are you still enforcing your vaccination policy? The tab states 'October 2021' and mentions the 'second dose' so wonder if this is out of date information?
- Travel TalkOperator•Written January 2023
All passengers joining our tours require to be fully vaccinated. If you are not vaccinated and would still like to join we can accept passengers with a negative PCR test on some tours/departures.
- L
Lee
Traveler•Written January 2023So is this tour one of those where you must be vaccinated or not? Happy to take a negative test on the guarantee this will be accepted without issue.

Traveler•Written January 2023Thanks Lucas - is there an official policy document confirming this? Also, is there a local payment to be made on arrival or not? Finally - are things like the Caldera trip paid for on the tour itself or can it be sorted in advance?
- Travel TalkOperator•Written January 2023
We do not have a formal document for this confirmation, however our messages can show that it has been confirmed on our end. Travellers are not required to pay any local payment. All the optional activities/entrance fees included on the itinerary will be paid during the tour.

Asked on July 29th, 2022Why over 60 r not allowed with 50 yrs old
- Travel TalkOperator•Written July 2022
Our age range is due to the fast-paced nature of our tours; there is a lot of walking over rough terrain involved and this can be difficult for passengers outside the age range.

Asked on April 19th, 2022Is Greece quarentining people when they arrive and does panamanians need Visa or any extra documents?
- Travel TalkOperator•Written April 2022
As far as we know, you don't need a visa to Greece but this information still needs to be confirmed with an authority. You also don't have a PCR to Greece if you are fully vaccinated and have your vaccination certificate with you. Entry requirements need to be checked regularly as they can change anytime.

- Travel TalkOperator•Written April 2022
Prices are based on Twin shared accommodation, you will be paired with another solo traveler of same gender. If you prefer to have your own room, single room supplement is required. We are sorry to inform you that we don't have airport transfer service available in Greece.
