- Day 1
Denver
You arrive in Denver this evening with time to get your bearings. Head down to LoDo in lower downtown if you're up for checking out some local spots and grabbing food. If you'd rather take it easy, find a spot with a view of Mount Blue Sky and settle in with a local IPA or coffee as the sun sets. Either way, you'll have a nice low-key introduction to the Mile-High City at 5,280 feet elevation.

Denver to Rapid City
Meet your Tour Director this morning and take a scenic drive through the Black Hills toward Rapid City. Keep your eyes open for deer, antelope, and bison herds in the rolling hills along the way. At 6 pm, join your Tour Director and other travelers for a welcome drink.

Rapid City - Mount Rushmore - Crazy Horse
Start the day with an orientation tour that covers Rapid City basics. After that, you'll spend time at Crazy Horse Memorial, the massive monument dedicated to the Lakota Chief carved into the mountain. Then you'll head to Mount Rushmore National Memorial to see those four presidential faces up close. You can walk the Presidential Trail if you want a different perspective, or check out the Information Center. Either way, both spots give you real insight into the region's history.

Black Hills - Deadwood - Sheridan
This morning takes you through Black Hills National Forest with scenic views the whole way. Once you reach Deadwood, a guided tour walks you through this old mining town and the Wild West characters like Wild Bill Hickok and Calamity Jane. From there, you'll continue through more Black Hills landscape to Sheridan, a cattle town that sits right at the base of the Bighorn Mountains. By evening you'll head to dinner at a local restaurant and get a real feel for Rocky Mountain hospitality.

Sheridan to Cody
Head into Southern Montana this morning to visit Little Bighorn Battlefield National Monument, where Custer faced defeat. Tour the battlegrounds and check out the museum, then drive through the Bighorn Mountains to Cody, the town named after Buffalo Bill Cody.

Cody - Shoshone National Forest - Yellowstone National Park
You'll have your morning in Cody to choose from a few included activities depending on what interests you. After that, you drive through Shoshone National Forest on your way into Yellowstone National Park. Along the way to your hotel, you'll have photo stops where you might spot wildlife roaming the meadows and forests. Keep your camera ready because animals move around freely throughout the park.

Yellowstone
Explore Yellowstone National Park today traveling along Grand Loop Road. You'll see the bubbling mud at Fountain Paint Pot, watch Old Faithful Geyser erupt, and view the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone with its Lower Falls (nearly twice as high as Niagara Falls). Stop at Mammoth Hot Springs and take a short walk through the steaming limestone terraces.

You head south into Grand Teton National Park where Jenny Lake sits at the base of those jagged mountain peaks, fed by glaciers. Take a walk along the shore there and soak in the scenery. Then you'll drive to Jackson, a town that's got that authentic Western character. Tonight's special: you're going to a Bar T-5 Chuckwagon Cookout and Wild West Show, which includes a horse-drawn covered wagon ride through the forest out to Cache Creek Canyon before dinner.

It's your time to move at your own pace and find what appeals to you most.
