Amsterdam
You'll arrive in Amsterdam this evening and meet your tour director along with the other travelers at a welcome dinner hosted at the hotel. This is a good chance to settle in and get to know everyone before the tour begins.

Amsterdam
This morning starts with a guided canal cruise where you'll see Amsterdam's historic homes from the Golden Age lining the waterways. After that, you'll stop at a Diamond Centre, and then the afternoon and evening are yours to wander around the city and check out whatever interests you.

Landmarks/POIs Amsterdam Canal System - Day 3
Amsterdam to Heidelberg
You'll cruise along the Rhine River heading toward Heidelberg. Once there, an orientation walk takes you through the Old Town, and later you'll have dinner at Kulturbrauerei Heidelberg, a traditional brewery where you can try authentic German beer alongside your meal.

Heidelberg to Lucerne
The drive takes you through the Black Forest region where you'll see a traditional woodcarving demonstration and grab coffee with Black Forest Cake. From there, you'll stop at Rhine Falls to photograph the waterfalls before continuing to Lucerne for a walking tour that includes the Bourbaki Panorama, the Lion Monument, and the Chapel Bridge.

Lucerne
Today is free in Lucerne, so you can explore on your own schedule. If you're interested, there's an optional excursion available to the summit of Mt. Pilatus using the world's steepest cogwheel railway, which passes through alpine meadows and offers views across central Switzerland.

Lucerne to Beaune
You'll drive through scenic countryside heading to Burgundy's wine country. In Beaune, you'll tour the Hotel Dieu, then move on to Marché aux Vins for a wine tasting in the cellars. There you'll sample various Burgundy wines while learning about local vineyard practices and the regional grape varieties.

Beaune to Paris
On the way to Paris, you'll stop for a guided visit of the Palace of Versailles and its expansive gardens. This former royal hunting lodge contains 2,300 rooms decorated with 17th-century gilded French furnishings and served as home to kings, queens, and emperors throughout history.

Paris
