- MVMarie· October 26th, 2025The itinerary had to change, due to poor weather, and our excellent guide, Paolo, changed things several times to give us the best experience possible. Paolo our guide was excellent. The area of the Amalfi Coast is a challenge to navigate, and the drivers of the minibuses did it very well. I enjoyed the week immensely. I have two things that might be improved. One is that we booked from Canada through TourRadar, and while the help from them pre-tour was excellent when it was provided, it was very difficult and frustrating to know which organization we were communicating with: TourRadar or Exodus? This might be more streamlined. The organization of the return transfer from the hotel to the airport was not to my satisfaction. I did not pre-book, as I did not know the plans of my co-traveller. Booking from the hotel had me paying two different sums to the organizer of the buses, and to another guide, who was going to give it to a participant who had arranged for a private transfer and who was now going to be sharing. This was confusing . My co traveller paid a total of 30 Euros to get a shared transfer to the Napoli train station, and I paid a total of 70 Euros to get a shared transfer to the Napoli airport. I do not understand this. It was a difficult moment in an otherwise excellent trip.Show moreTrip date: October 2025
- LTLinda· October 21st, 2025We very much liked certain aspects of the Highlights of the Amalfi Coast tour: the hotel was very comfortable and well-appointed, the food at both breakfast and dinner, which were included, was very good, the cooking demonstrations were very well- executed, jovial and lots of fun, and the excursions and activities were led by expert guides (especially in the case of Eva in Ercolano and Pompeii), and lunches in between activities were staged at lovely facilities with great food and good value. There were a few times, though, when we arrived at a town, got an overview but no map on What's App or on paper, and were simply shown the meeting point with a few ideas, some pointed and some not as much, about what to see. Knowing which were most worthwhile for the time we had, including lunch, and ould allow us to be back at the meeting point on time would have been helpful. Overall, there were two rather glaring sticking points of the tour, though. One was being asked multiple times for tips, once at the beginning of the tour for our drivers, after we had tipped the first driver of the week, who acted surprised and grateful, then again at the end of the tour for the staff, then for our own tour leader. This, for a Platinum level tour company, smacks of unprofessionalism. Perhaps the idea is to make sure all work for their tips, but I think most people would agree that making them all-inclusive makes staff feel like highly-regarded professionals, and alleviates the need for guests to waste time and effort for multiple trips to the ATM. All-inclusive is definitely best. Also, Exodus’ free transfer offer should carry an asterisk as the service is solely at Exodus’ convenience regardless of whether it is inconvenient for the guest. On our departure day we were scheduled for a 4:00 p.m. transit, forcing us to cancel plans we had already made for sightseeing in Naples. And a simple query asking if our time could be moved up received a somewhat dismissive response from the person overseeing transfers. These two problems made us question whether we would use Exodus again or recommend it to others.Show moreTrip date: October 2025
- CIChristopher· September 15th, 2025The itinerary and guide were great easily, worth 5 stars. My two quibbles were that they were not at all clear that the choice of activities on the free day came at a price and that the included return transfer was not until 4 pm with earlier departures costing extra. To be fair, the extra costs were the true costs of the busses so while it was annoying it was not a dishonest money grab. They should just be more clear up front. The reason for the solid 4 stars was that the hotel was 3-4 stars. The room was small by US standards but normal by European standards, very clean, and well equipped. The description of the dining room indicated that a chef would serve local favorites, "specializing in seafood". The dinner offerings were heavy on pasta (both the "salad course" and first course) with very little seafood and were decent. The biggest issue was the service. The pool area bar was sporadically staffed and I am still not certain whether there was meant to be table service. The dining room was completely understaffed with 2-3 servers responsible for about 80 patrons. To be clear, they worked extremely hard. There were just not enough of them. Also, I suspect that the kitchen was not capable of that volume and as a result dinner was usually a 3 hour slog with courses coming out at 45-60 minute intervals. I would suggest staggering the seatings. Also, the room got hot and stuffy, which a few more open windows and some ceiling fans would fix (we were there in September with 80-95 degree F days and 65-70 degree nights). The breakfast buffet was good, better than typical in US economy hotels, but not great. The hot eggs and bacon or sausage, which were excellent when you got them, were not replenished and often out by 8:30 am. They did have eggs and boiling water for self serve hard or soft boiled eggs.Show moreTrip date: September 2025
Eldon· November 15th, 2024This was an amazing tour and the sights were spectacular.. The town we stayed in was centrally located so we didn’t have to change hotels from day to day, and ultimately saved us time traveling for each daily tour. The tours were well organized and our tour leader was excellent. The smaller group size made it much easier to manage so we weren’t always trying to figure out who was on the bus and who was missing. I would recommend this tour for anyone interested in seeing the Amalfi Coast.Show more

Show moreTrip date: September 2024- DRDaniel· August 12th, 2024Overall, the tour was very good and the Exodus tour guide Veriano was good. A few complaints - we were left at Naples airport for almost 2 hours before boarding tour bus to hotel due to 1 group member being late. Also, tour guide needs to walk more slowly during tours around crowded, congested areas, as some members walked slower or stopped to take photos and had hard time keeping up with him.Show more

The tours were so well chosen and organised . It would have been nice to go to Vesuvius but it was a busy day with Ercolano and Pompei . My favourite was Ravello with the tour of Gore Vidal’s ex villa la Rondinaia my high point . I had been wanting to visit for years. The guides there were friendly and knowledgeable . Then the tour to Villa Cimbrone completed the experience . Veriano organised it and made sure I could find it and picked me up afterwoods . I finished with a wine at Villa Maria and their wonderful view of the valley leading to the sea. The family hotel Due Torri was magic . The family very warm and welcoming in the True ItalianShow more

We got to see and experience everything that was promised. Our guide was informative and made sure everyone in our group was well taken care of and comfortable. The hike on the Path of the Gods was a bit challenging, and we could have been better informed, as we were told it would be easy. As a result, several people turned back. The hotel was clean, and the staff was very pleasant. Unfortunately, the dinners were not very good, with limited choices and not up to the quality we’ve experienced in Italy before. For several in our group, this was their first time in Italy, and they were quite disappointed with the food. We assured them that this is not typical. Overall, we recommend this tour, but you may want to dine at local restaurants some evening.Show moreTrip date: June 2024

Difficult to enjoy the sights and to try to experience them when the guides are talking all the time. Itinerary changed as we spent an entire day at Ravello, with absolutely no reason given. We lost a half free day to spend time at a place that was worth only a half day's visit. The tour guide, not the other guides I mentioned, also stayed with us at each site for an hour. We are competent adults, who once at a location, should be able to do our own sightseeing. Hotel's food as minimally adequate.Show more

Asked on September 1st, 2025Can you please provide more details as to how the airport pick up would work? Do we need to book a certain flight that lands at a certain time/day. What if there are delays with the flight?
Exodus Adventure TravelsOperator•Written September 2025Exodus provides one group arrival transfer from the airport, which is timed to coincide with the arrival of a chosen flight from London, UK (19hrs). You may join this transfer at no extra cost, provided you can be at the airport before the transfer leaves. Additionally, there are two more shared airport transfers to Hotel Due Torri, which can be booked for an extra cost. It's possible to reach the start hotel by public transport, but the journey is complicated. We therefore recommend joining the group transfer where possible.
