- Day 1
International Departure
Your journey kicks off today as you head out for Indonesia. You'll fly across continents and time zones toward Sumatra, where thick jungles, volcanoes, and wild nature are waiting for you.
- Day 2
Medan to Bukit Lawang
After landing in Medan, a local guide will meet you and drive through palm forests and rubber tree plantations to Bukit Lawang. During the drive, you'll hear facts about the island's landscape and wildlife. Then you'll settle into your accommodation for the night.

Gunung Leuser National Park
You'll trek into Gunung Leuser National Park's tropical rainforest with your guide, moving through dense vegetation and learning about jungle medicine and edible plants. Spotting orangutans and macaques happens along the way. Later, you'll camp beside the Bohorok River and have dinner by the fire.

Gunung Leuser National Park
Morning comes with jungle sounds and breakfast by the river. You'll trek deeper into the rainforest where orangutans are living in their natural habitat. After more hiking through streams and under the dense canopy, you paddle back to Bukit Lawang by rubber dinghy through the rapids.

Landmarks Gunung Leuser National Park - Day 5
Bukit Lawang to Berastagi
The drive takes you to Berastagi in the highlands, and you'll pass views of the two active volcanoes Sibayak and Sinabung. The landscape gets greener with each kilometer. In the afternoon, explore the surroundings on your own or just relax before tomorrow's climb.

Landmarks Mount Sibayak Mount Sinabung - Day 6
Berastagi
Before dawn breaks, you start climbing Mount Sibayak, one of Sumatra's most active volcanoes. The three-hour hike takes you through steaming ground and sulfurous clouds until you reach the crater rim with views all around. After coming down, soak in a natural hot spring, then check out the colorful fruit market.

Landmarks Mount Sibayak - Day 7
Berastagi to Samosir Island
You'll drive toward Lake Toba, passing volcanic slopes, colorful villages, and green valleys. Stop at Sipiso-Piso waterfall as it drops 100 meters into the crater lake. Later, you travel over winding mountain roads before taking a ferry out to Samosir Island.

Samosir Island

Samosir Island to Medan
The ferry takes you back to the mainland from Samosir Island. Then a six or seven hour drive across North Sumatra brings you toward Medan, passing villages, rice terraces, and palm groves. You'll transition from rural landscapes to the bustling city with its honking traffic and vibrant street life.

Medan to International Departure
