Itinerary
- Day 1
Madrid to Córdoba
You'll board a high-speed train from Madrid around 11:00 a.m., arriving in Córdoba in under two hours. After grabbing lunch on your own, a local guide will take you through the Mosque-Cathedral and the Jewish Quarter, where narrow streets and flower-filled patios create a genuinely peaceful atmosphere. Depending on the season, you'll either visit Medina Azahara palace-city for a magical nighttime experience (June 21 to September 20) or check out one of Córdoba's most iconic courtyards.

- Day 2
Córdoba to Granada
Following breakfast, you'll drive through endless olive groves to Baena and tour the Núñez de Prado Olive Oil Mill, housed in an 18th-century building and among the Mediterranean's oldest. You'll learn how olive oil gets made and taste pan con aceite before heading to Granada. The Alhambra, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and Islamic architecture masterpiece, is next on the agenda. After lunch is included, you can either explore the cathedral or wander the Albacín neighborhood for some great views of the Alhambra.

- Day 3
Granada to Málaga
Your route takes you across the scenic Sierra Nevada mountains and then along the Mediterranean coast through Costa Tropical. You'll stop in Nerja, a charming coastal village with impressive cliffs, then head to Frigiliana, known for its steep whitewashed streets. By afternoon you'll reach Málaga, the Costa del Sol capital and birthplace of Picasso, where La Manquita cathedral stands unfinished. You'll have time for lunch and to wander the city center, or if the weather cooperates, you can hit the beach for a swim.

- Day 4
Málaga - Puerto Banús - Setenil de las Bodegas - Ronda - Jerez de la Frontera
This is one of the tour's most beautiful days as you travel through Andalusian mountains and white villages. Start at Puerto Banús in Marbella, a famous luxury marina with yachts and high-end shops. Then you'll see Setenil de las Bodegas with houses built into rock formations, followed by Ronda, perched above the dramatic Tajo Gorge. After a typical lunch, you'll have free time to walk around and visit Spain's oldest bullring. The day ends in Jerez de la Frontera where you can wander the historic center and try tapas at traditional tabancos.

- Day 5
Jerez de la Frontera - El Puerto de Santa María - Cádiz - Seville
After breakfast in Jerez, you'll visit the Royal Andalusian School of Equestrian Art to see the Carriage Museum and watch majestic Andalusian horses training. A quick photo stop includes the exterior of the Moorish Alcázar. You'll continue to El Puerto de Santa María for wine tasting at Osborne Wineries, then take a scenic half-hour boat journey to Cádiz, one of Europe's oldest cities. There's time to see the impressive cathedral and old town before heading toward Seville across the magnificent bridge, arriving by evening.

- Day 6
Seville - Palos de la Frontera - Huelva - El Rocío - Seville
You'll start at Italica, the ancient Roman city where emperors Trajan and Hadrian were born, and see the amphitheater that once held 25,000 spectators plus baths and mosaics. Next comes Palos de la Frontera, the port where Columbus's ships departed in 1492. You'll explore La Rábida Monastery and the Wharf of the Caravels with ship replicas. After free time for lunch in Huelva, you'll travel along the Atlantic coast near Doñana National Park and stop in El Rocío to visit its sanctuary and take in views of the national park before returning to Seville.

- Day 7
Seville to Zaragoza
You'll begin with a panoramic tour of Seville that includes the cathedral with its famous Giralda, the Guadalquivir River banks, and the Santa Cruz and Triana neighborhoods. Next is a boat ride on the Guadalquivir River. In the afternoon, you'll head to the station for a high-speed train departing around 4:30 p.m. that covers 850 km to Zaragoza in under four hours. After arriving, you'll transfer to your hotel. Note that no Europamundo guide accompanies this train journey.

- Day 8
Zaragoza to Barcelona
Start with a morning panoramic tour of Zaragoza led by a local expert. You'll visit the Cathedral-Basilica of Our Lady of the Pillar and see works by painter Goya, then move through the Roman theatre and Renaissance palace while walking past the Aljafería Palace. After lunch, you'll head to Catalonia to visit Poblet Abbey, a walled monastery in beautiful surroundings and one of Europe's best-preserved medieval monasteries. From there, you'll continue to Barcelona, arriving in the evening.

- Day 9
Barcelona
You'll have a panoramic tour of Barcelona, one of Europe's most interesting capitals on the Mediterranean. The tour covers Gaudí and modernist architecture, the lively Ramblas, and the legacy of the World Expositions and Olympic Games held here. Your guided portion ends at Maremagnum, a modern leisure and dining area by the sea near Columbus Square where you can stroll and explore. The rest of the afternoon is free, and you'll head back to your hotel at day's end.
