- Day 1
Paris to Loire Valley
You'll head south into the Loire Valley, starting in Blois where the castle dominates the skyline. From there, it's a short drive to Tours where you'll grab lunch and wander along the Loire River banks. In the afternoon, you'll check out Château de Villandry with its manicured gardens spread across the grounds. By evening, you'll arrive in Amboise, a medieval town that feels frozen in time, where dinner's waiting for you.

- Day 2
Loire Valley
After breakfast, you'll walk through Amboise's streets and visit Château du Clos Lucé, the home where Leonardo da Vinci spent his final years. The morning includes seeing Château de Chenonceau, which literally sits on the river like a bridge. Then you'll move on to Chambord, the largest castle in the region with grounds that go on and on. By evening, you're in Limoges, known worldwide for its porcelain production, with time to see the historic center and Saint Etienne Cathedral.

- Day 3
Limoges to Dordogne
You'll leave Limoges and head toward the Dordogne, stopping at Lascaux to see the museum and walk through replica caves with prehistoric paintings on the walls. Next is Sarlat, a UNESCO World Heritage town where the Renaissance architecture surrounds you in the center. You'll have time for lunch and exploring before heading to Beynac to see a medieval castle overlooking the river. The day ends in Rocamadour, a clifftop medieval village that juts out from the rock face, and dinner's included.

- Day 4
Dordogne to Bordeaux
This morning you'll descend into Padirac Chasm and take a boat across an underground river about 75 meters below ground level. After that, you're headed to Collonges-la-Rouge, a village constructed from red stone that sits along the Way of St. James pilgrimage route. Lunch happens here before you continue toward Saint-Emilion, the heart of Bordeaux wine country, where you'll have time for a walk around. You'll arrive in Bordeaux as evening sets in.

- Day 5
Bordeaux to Paris
You'll spend time exploring Bordeaux's UNESCO World Heritage center, including the Water Mirror and the winding streets of the old town with the 11th-century cathedral standing among them. The afternoon is yours to wander the Garonne River banks or visit the Cité du Vin wine museum if that interests you. After lunch, it's a high-speed train ride for just over two hours to Paris. Once you arrive, you'll transfer from the station to your hotel and settle in.
