- Day 1
Lisbon
You'll get transferred to your hotel in Lisbon and have the rest of the day to settle in. Check the hotel reception boards in the afternoon for details about when your tour officially starts.

- Day 2
Lisbon
A guided tour takes you through Lisbon's seven hills, where you'll walk through charming alleys and see the iconic tiles and Atlantic light the city's known for. You head to Belem to visit the historic neighborhood where Portuguese navigators set out in the 15th century. The afternoon opens up for you to either explore Bairro Alto and its viewpoint on your own, or you can take an optional trip to Sintra, Cascais, and Estoril. By evening you'll head back to the hotel from Restauradores Square.

- Day 3
Lisbon - Fátima - Porto
You travel north to Fatima, an important pilgrimage site, then continue to Porto. After lunch, you'll board a traditional Rabelo boat for a 50-minute cruise along the Douro River with great views of the city. From there you walk through the medieval Ribeira district, wandering the narrow streets past historic merchant houses and cafes before heading to your hotel.

- Day 4
Porto - Braga - Guimarães - Aveiro - Coimbra
Starting in Braga, you'll stroll through Portugal's religious capital and visit its ancient cathedral. The world's oldest funicular takes you up to the Sanctuary of Bom Jesus for views across the region, and you can walk back down to see the baroque stairway if you'd like. Next is Guimaraes, where you'll see the Palace of the Dukes in Portugal's first capital. After lunch, you head west to Aveiro to ride a traditional Moliceiro boat through the canals and salt flats, trying a local sweet onboard. You reach Coimbra by late afternoon with dinner included at your hotel.

- Day 5
Coimbra - Batalha - Nazaré - Óbidos - Lisbon
You explore Coimbra, checking out the old University and the steep charming streets that make up Portugal's third-largest city. Moving south, there's a stop at the impressive medieval Batalha Monastery, where entry's included. You'll have time for lunch and a walk in Nazare, a fishing town and seaside resort where an included elevator takes you up to the old city for ocean views. Before returning to Lisbon around 7:30 p.m., you stop in Obidos with its white streets and flowers.
