Itinerary
- Day 1
London to Durham
Starting out from London, you'll head north through England with several stops along the way. First up is Cambridge, where you can walk through the colleges that line the streets. After that, continue to York and you'll have the afternoon free to check out the cathedral, walk along the Roman walls, or browse the shopping streets. By evening you'll arrive in Durham, a medieval town where a cathedral sits high above the castle, which creates quite a dramatic view of the town.

Durham to Edinburgh
Today takes you into Scotland with a stop in Alnwick first, a town known for its gardens and medieval castle (fans of Harry Potter will recognize it from the films). Then you'll continue to Edinburgh, the capital, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. A local guide will take you around on a panoramic tour showing you the castle and the city's steep streets and green spaces spread below it.

Edinburgh to Glasgow
You'll travel through the Scottish Highlands starting with coffee and a walk in Pitlochry. Moving on, you'll pass near Inverness and Loch Ness, then stop at Urquhart Castle where entry is included. After that comes a boat ride on Loch Ness itself. You'll continue past Fort Augustus and Fort William (which sits at the base of Ben Nevis), then drive through high plateaus and along Loch Lomond before reaching Glasgow by the end of the day.

Glasgow to Belfast
From Glasgow you'll head south to Cairnryan and board a ferry to Northern Ireland. You'll arrive in Belfast, the capital, which has transformed significantly since 1998. The afternoon is free for you to walk around and explore. If you're interested in maritime history, the Titanic Museum is located in the old shipyard where the ship was built and has quite a striking modern structure.

Belfast to Derry
After breakfast, you'll travel through Cushendun, a conservation area along the Antrim Coast known for its architecture. You can grab lunch in Ballycastle (at your own cost), then visit the Giant's Causeway where you'll see 40,000 hexagonal basalt columns that formed roughly 60 million years ago. Next is a visit to the Bushmills distillery, the world's oldest licensed whiskey distillery, with entry and a guided tour included. The day ends in Derry, a historic walled city.

Derry to Belfast
You'll drive through mountain scenery into the Republic of Ireland to reach Donegal, a lively town where you can visit the medieval castle (entry included). After that, you'll go back into Northern Ireland to check out Marble Arch Caves, one of Europe's significant cave systems with over 11 km of passages that took shape over 330 million years. Entry is included. You'll have free time for lunch on your own, then head back to Belfast with time to explore once you arrive.

Belfast to Dublin
Leaving Belfast, you'll stop at Hillsborough Castle, an 18th-century Georgian mansion that serves as the official government residence in Northern Ireland. It has nice gardens and woodlands around it. You'll have time for lunch, then move into the Republic of Ireland to Monasterboice, an ancient monastic site from the 5th century with tall Celtic crosses including Muiredach's Cross. From there, continue to Dublin where you'll arrive mid-afternoon with free time to walk around.

Dublin
You'll start with a guided panoramic tour of Dublin. You'll walk along the River Liffey, see parks and the historic university, and move through the downtown area. Trinity College's exterior is part of the tour. After that, the afternoon is yours to spend however you'd like, whether that's more exploring or just relaxing somewhere in the city.

Dublin to Liverpool
An early ferry crossing takes you to Wales for three to three and a half hours. Your first stop is Caernarfon, a seaside town with a World Heritage Site castle that dominates the area. You'll have time for lunch and to walk around. Then you'll continue to Liverpool for a short bus tour of this World Heritage Site, which has the second-largest port in the United Kingdom.

Liverpool to London
Exploring central England, you'll begin in Stratford-upon-Avon, Shakespeare's hometown, where you can have lunch and wander around. Next is Oxford, known for its universities and the scholars who have studied there (kings, politicians, philosophers, and scientists). Later you'll travel to London, arriving in the evening. That's where your tour concludes.
