Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival in Sri Lanka & Transfer to Mirissa
You'll land at Bandaranaike International Airport where a representative meets you for the drive to Mirissa, a coastal town about 150 km south. If your timing works out, there's a possible stop at Weligama Fisherman's Bay to watch the traditional stilt fishermen doing their thing. Once you reach your beachfront hotel, the afternoon and early evening are yours to spend however you like. Walk the beach, swim, or try something like snorkeling or a boat tour if you're interested. Around 7 PM your guide will meet with you to go over what's coming on Day 2.

Whale Watching & Southern Coastal Wonders
After breakfast you'll head out on a boat tour to look for whales and dolphins in the Indian Ocean, which is one of the top spots in the world for this. You're hoping to spot Blue Whales, Sperm Whales, and dolphins while the sea is calm. Later in the afternoon you'll drive to Weligama to see the famous stilt fishermen, then continue on to Unawatuna Beach where you can relax or do water activities if you want. By 7 PM your guide will check in with you at the hotel to plan Day 3 before you settle in for the night.

Coastal Heritage Trail: Galle to Bentota
You're traveling from Mirissa to Bentota along the southern coast, making several stops along the way. First is the Galle Dutch Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with its cobbled streets and lighthouse. From there you'll see how moonstone mining works at Meetiyagoda, then head to Ambalangoda to check out the Mask Factory and Museum where carvers use techniques that go back centuries. Next comes a boat safari through mangrove forests on the Madu River where you might spot birds and monkeys. Before reaching your Bentota hotel, you'll stop at a Turtle Hatchery in Ahungalla to finish out the day.

- Day 4
Bentota Beach Leisure
Starting with breakfast, you'll explore what makes Bentota special both historically and naturally. Galapatha Viharaya is one of five ancient temples in the area, featuring stone inscriptions and a Buddhist stupa that's centuries old. The Bentota Palama bridge shows up next, a colonial-era structure from the British period, followed by Lunuganga Estate, which is the quiet garden that architect Geoffrey Bawa designed for himself. The afternoon is more relaxed with a city tour where you can look through souvenirs and local handmade items, then spend time on Bentota Beach or by your hotel pool. Meeting your guide at 7 PM wraps up your day as you go over the final day's plans.

Colombo Via BIA Departure Airport Transfer
Breakfast and checkout start your final day, then you'll do a brief Colombo city tour timed around your flight. The Seema Malaka water temple, designed by Geoffrey Bawa, is a peaceful first stop, then you'll drive along Galle Face Green where the ocean views are nice and the historic Galle Face Hotel sits nearby. The Old Parliament Building shows off the city's colonial architecture from when the British were around. Depending on how much time you have, there might be room for shopping or grabbing something to drink along Galle Face Terrace before heading to the airport for your flight home.
