Itinerary
- Day 1
Marrakech to Boumalne Dades
Your journey begins in Marrakech heading toward the High Atlas Mountains, passing through small Berber villages as you climb higher. You'll reach Tickha peak where the mountain views open up across the landscape. Later, you'll stop at the 18th-century Telouet Kasbah to see the traditional architecture and learn about the region's history. After grabbing lunch near the kasbah, the route takes you through Skoura and the Valley of Roses to Kalaat Megouna. By evening you arrive in Boumalne Dades where you'll have dinner and spend the night.

- Day 2
Boumalne Dades to Merzouga Desert
After breakfast, you head out toward Tinghir to reach the scenic Todra Gorge, then drive through the desert towns of Erfoud and Rissani. At the edge of the desert, you'll have a choice between camel trekking or a 4WD vehicle to explore Morocco's highest pink dunes. This morning and afternoon in the desert gives way to evening when you watch the sun drop toward the horizon. Dinner is a traditional Moroccan meal with live music around a campfire, and you'll sleep in Berber tents where clear skies often reveal the Milky Way.

- Day 3
Merzouga Desert to Merzouga
You're up early to catch the desert sunrise, followed by breakfast. After resting for a bit, a 4WD takes you across the rocky high plateau to meet desert nomads in their traditional tents and see panoramic dune views along the way. Next, you visit the Ghost Town of Mifis, an abandoned mining village where fossils are scattered around. From there, head to Khamlia Village for a live Gnawa music performance and homemade Berber pizza for lunch. Before heading back to your riad for the night, you'll explore Merzouga's oasis community gardens and nomadic depository to get a sense of how people live here.

Merzouga to Fes
You'll travel to Fes through Errachidia and along the scenic Ziz Valley, passing Midelt which sits in an agricultural area. The drive continues through Cedar forests where Barbary macaques live in the trees, then through Ifrane known for its alpine-style architecture and ski slopes. By early evening you arrive in Fez and settle into your overnight accommodation.

Fes
Following breakfast, a guided walking tour takes you through the Fes Medina's maze of twisting alleyways where donkeys and mules constantly navigate the narrow streets. You'll wander through market stalls selling spices and perfumes, then visit the leather tanneries where workers use techniques passed down for centuries. The day ends with dinner at a local restaurant within the medina before heading back to your hotel.

Fes - Meknes - Volubilis to Chefchaouen
After breakfast you drive to Chefchaouen, stopping in Meknes to see sites from its imperial history including the Bab Mansour gate with its mosaic tiling. Then you visit Volubilis, an ancient capital of Mauretania with significant historical remains. Upon arriving in Chefchaouen, you can explore the distinctive blue-washed old town at your own pace, checking out Place Outa el Hammam square, the red-walled 15th-century Kasbah with its dungeon, the Ethnographic Museum, and the octagonal minaret. There's time to browse local handicrafts or simply soak in the quiet atmosphere.

- Day 7
Chefchaouen - Rabat to Casablanca
After breakfast you drive toward Casablanca via Ouazane, stopping through several villages and towns. In Rabat you'll visit Oudaya, a UNESCO World Heritage medieval fortified Muslim necropolis, then see the Hassan Tower dating to 1195 and the Mohammed V mausoleum which contains tombs of three kings: Mohammad V, Hassan II, and Prince Abdallah. The drive continues on to Casablanca where you'll spend the night.

- Day 8
Casablanca to Marrakech
Following breakfast, you visit Mohammad V square, a 1916 French Colonial plaza with a statue and fountain. Then you head to the Hassan II mosque, completed in 1993 with the second-largest mosque in Africa and a minaret reaching 210 meters tall. After exploring these sites, you drive to Marrakech via the highway. Your driver helps you with luggage and gets you settled into your accommodation to finish this journey.
