Itinerary
- Day 1
Calgary
You'll land in Calgary and get settled into your hotel. Your Tour Director will be on hand from 3 to 6 p.m. if you have questions or need help getting oriented to the city. This gives you time to grab dinner and rest up before the Stampede begins.
- Day 2
Calgary Stampede
Head to the Calgary Stampede grounds with your included ticket. Walk through Elbow River Camp to learn about First Nations traditions, then grab some midway food and catch performances on the various stages. Browse the Western art exhibits, and by evening you'll watch the Chuckwagon Races followed by a spectacular outdoor musical featuring hundreds of performers.

Calgary Stampede Rodeo
Start early with a pancake breakfast at Fluor Rope Square on Stephen Avenue Mall. Return to the Stampede grounds to see the rodeo with world-class action and bull riding. After that, spend the rest of your day exploring square dancing, mock gun fights, country bands, restaurants, and livestock displays around the grounds.

Calgary to Banff
Take a guided tour through downtown Calgary, stopping at Fort Calgary, Stampede Park, the Saddledome, and Canada Olympic Park to learn how the city transformed from ranching to oil boom. Later you'll drive west into Banff National Park for an orientation tour. The evening is free for you to relax and settle in.

Banff National Park
This is your day to choose what interests you in Canada's first national park. Hike wilderness trails, go horseback riding, golf, walk through Banff townsite, or soak in the hot springs. The park has 53 mammal species including deer, elk, and bighorn sheep. Various optional activities are available depending on your interests and fitness level.

Banff to Jasper
You'll start at Lake Louise with its turquoise waters and mountain reflections. Drive through mountain passes seeing deep gorges, snowcapped ranges, and pristine lakes. Stop at Columbia Icefields to ride an Ice Explorer vehicle on 750-foot-thick ice. By late afternoon you'll arrive in Jasper National Park for an orientation tour.

- Day 7
Jasper National Park
This is a free day to explore Canada's largest national park on your own. You can take an optional narrated cruise on Maligne Lake to Spirit Island, passing Medicine Lake and Maligne Canyon on the return journey and looking for grizzly bears, moose, and elk. Or try hiking or browsing the shops in town instead.

- Day 8
Jasper to Kamloops via Rocky Mountaineer
Board the Rocky Mountaineer for a 2-day rail journey from the Canadian Rockies to the Pacific Coast. You'll travel during daylight hours, passing Mount Robson, the highest mountain in the Canadian Rockies, and following the North Thompson River past the Monashee Mountains. Arrive in Kamloops this evening with free time to explore.

Kamloops to Vancouver via Rocky Mountaineer
The train continues through ranchlands along the Thompson River. You'll see the stark beauty of Fraser Canyon and the turbulent waters of Hell's Gate. After arriving in Vancouver this evening, transfer to your hotel and settle in.

Landmarks Thompson River Fraser Canyon Hell's Gate - Day 10
Vancouver to Victoria
Start your morning in Vancouver by walking through Stanley Park and checking out the city's landmarks. From there, you'll head out on a sailing trip through the Gulf Islands, making your way to Victoria, the capital of British Columbia. Once you arrive, spend time at Butchart Gardens where you'll find 55 acres of flowers and landscaping spread across the property. After that, walk around Bastion Square, see the Parliament Buildings, and visit Thunderbird Park. By evening, if you're up for it, take a stroll along the harbourfront and grab dinner at one of the seafood restaurants there.

Victoria to Vancouver
Take the ferry across the Strait of Georgia back to Vancouver. Upon arrival, you'll drive to Vancouver International Airport where your vacation ends. Arrange flights after 2 p.m. If you'd like, you can extend your trip with extra nights to spend more time in Vancouver.
