- Day 1
Calgary
You'll arrive in Calgary and settle in at your hotel. Your tour director will be around later this afternoon if you have any questions about what's coming up over the next few days.
- Day 2
Calgary to Banff
This morning you'll tour Calgary's downtown area, checking out Fort Calgary, Stampede Park, the Saddledome, and Canada Olympic Park to see how the city grew from its ranching roots into a modern center. After that, you'll head west into the foothills and make your way to Banff National Park, where you'll get an orientation tour when you arrive.

Banff
You have the full day to explore Banff at your own pace. Hiking wilderness trails, horseback riding, or golfing are all options if you want something active. The hot springs are great if you'd rather relax, and the townsite itself is worth a walk. Keep watch for wildlife since the park has 53 mammal species including deer, elk, and bighorn sheep that you'll see fairly regularly.

Landmarks/POIs Banff National Park - Day 4
Banff to Jasper
You'll travel through mountain scenery, starting at Lake Louise with its turquoise water, then crossing three mountain passes with views of snow-capped peaks and clear lakes all around. At the Columbia Icefield, you'll ride an Ice Explorer onto the 750-foot-thick ice. By evening you'll reach Jasper National Park for an orientation tour and settle in for two nights.

Jasper
Today is yours to do what you want in Canada's largest national park. An optional narrated cruise on Maligne Lake goes to Spirit Island and shows you Medicine Lake and Maligne Canyon where grizzly bears, moose, and elk sometimes show up. If cruising isn't your thing, there's hiking or shopping in town as alternatives.

Jasper to Kamloops
You'll board the Rocky Mountaineer for a 2-day rail journey traveling toward the Pacific Coast in daylight the entire time. You'll pass Mount Robson, the Canadian Rockies' highest peak, and follow the North Thompson River with the Monashee Mountains visible alongside. You'll arrive in Kamloops this evening with time to walk around and get dinner.

Kamloops to Vancouver
The train continues through ranchlands along the Thompson River today. You'll see the Fraser Canyon and the turbulent Hell's Gate before rolling into Vancouver this evening. After you arrive, you'll head to your hotel.

Vancouver and Victoria
This morning covers Vancouver's Chinatown, Gastown, and Stanley Park on a sightseeing tour. Later you'll sail through the Gulf Islands, which have a Mediterranean-like climate and beautiful scenery. In the afternoon, you'll head to Victoria to see Butchart Gardens, Bastion Square, and Thunderbird Park with its totem pole collection.

Victoria to Vancouver
Your tour finishes with a ferry departure to Vancouver in the morning. From there you'll transfer to Vancouver International Airport. Plan to schedule your flights after 2:00 pm to give yourself time to get there.
