Ushuaia
You'll arrive in Ushuaia and get transferred to your pre-voyage hotel. From there, you can settle into your room, have a glass of Malbec, or walk around the city if you want to get a feel for this southernmost city before your voyage begins.

Ushuaia to Beagle Channel
This morning gives you time to explore Ushuaia before heading to the ship in the afternoon. After the mandatory safety drill, you'll sail through the Beagle Channel and into the Drake Passage, keeping an eye out for albatross, whales, and dolphins along the way.

Drake Passage
You'll continue through the Drake Passage while the Expedition Leader covers safety briefings and Antarctic guidelines. The team will help with biosecuring your gear and give lectures on Antarctic exploration and the wildlife you're about to see.

Landmarks/POIs Drake Passage - Day 4
Antarctic Convergence to South Shetland Islands
As you cross the Antarctic Convergence, temperatures drop and the water changes character. This shift brings more marine life activity, so watch for petrels, albatrosses, penguins, seals, and whales. Weather permitting, you'll land on the South Shetland Islands in the afternoon.

Landmarks/POIs Antarctic Convergence South Shetland Islands - Day 5
South Shetland Islands and Gerlache Strait
You'll explore the South Shetland Islands with their rocky landscape and penguin colonies of Gentoo and Chinstrap penguins, plus Giant Petrels. Then you'll start checking out the Gerlache Strait region on the Antarctic Peninsula, with possible landings at Deception Island, Aitcho, Half Moon Islands, or Yankee Harbour depending on ice and weather.

Gerlache Strait and Antarctic Peninsula
The Gerlache Strait exploration continues as you head further west along the Peninsula. Depending on conditions, you might visit Paradise Bay for its scenery, Cuverville Island to see penguin nesting sites, Damoy Point to check out historic huts, Wilhelmina Bay where humpback whales gather, or the dramatic Lemaire Channel.

You'll keep exploring the Antarctic Peninsula with the route changing based on weather and ice. Each evening the Expedition Leader briefs you on the next day's plans. Onboard, there are lectures, wine tastings, spa treatments, and time to reflect on everything you're experiencing in Antarctica.

Drake Passage Return
Your return journey northward starts today as you cross the Drake Passage back toward Ushuaia. During the crossing, you can enjoy cocktails in the Nordic Bar, attend lectures in the Shackleton Lounge, and watch albatrosses fly alongside the ship. It's a good time to relax and think back on the trip.

Drake Passage to Ushuaia
On your final evening onboard, you'll join the Captain and Officers for the Farewell Cocktail Party. The onboard photographer presents photos and videos from your journey, giving you a chance to review the highlights and celebrate with the other travelers you've gotten to know.

Ushuaia Departure
You'll arrive back at Ushuaia pier early in the morning. After breakfast onboard, you'll say goodbye to your expedition team and fellow travelers. A transfer to the airport is included, so you're all set to continue with your next plans.
