- Day 1
Arrival in Nyingchi
Your guide meets you at Nyingchi airport to kick off the trip. From there, you'll head to Gala Peach Blossom Village where wild peach blossoms surround the area, then continue on to Lulang Forest for views of snow-capped peaks like Namche Barwa. Weather permitting, you'll stop at Segrila Pass for the views before driving to Basomtso for the night.

Nyingchi to Ranwu
Start the day at Guxiang Lake situated at 2,600 meters elevation. After that, you'll explore Bomi Peach Blossom Valley which stretches about 30 kilometers and offers great photography opportunities. Later you'll reach Ranwu Lake surrounded by snow mountains, grasslands, and forests at the source of the Parlung Zangbo River.

Ranwu to Bome
You'll visit Laigu Glacier group near Ranwu Lake, which sits within primitive forests and Tibetan villages. From April through September, Donga Glacier and its blue ice cave may be accessible. A sightseeing bus takes you to Summer Ranch, where you can either hike about 4 kilometers for free or ride a horse (optional, 300 CNY per person) to see the glaciers up close.

Bome to Nyingchi
Tashi Gang Village sits in a plateau mountain meadow with dense forests, streams, and flowers. In spring and summer, wildflowers cover the meadows. During autumn and winter, thick clouds and mist gather around the snow-capped peaks, creating a different kind of scenery.

Nyingchi to Lhasa
You'll check out Basomtso Lake, a national forest park with snow mountains, forests, waterfalls, and pastures. Head to Jieba Village to see Basomtso and the two snow mountains called 'King's Throne' and 'Burning Flame' from their best vantage point. After that, you travel to Lhasa.

Lhasa
In Lhasa, you'll see Potala Palace, built in 641 AD and now a UNESCO site with halls, murals, statues, and mountain views. Later you'll explore Jokhang Temple, the final destination for pilgrims where a statue of the 12-year-old Buddha is housed. After touring the temple, you can walk Barkhor Street nearby to look at souvenirs, handicrafts, and Tibetan incense.

Lhasa to Shigatse
You'll drive up to Kampala Pass at 4,797 meters for views of Yamdrok Lake below and Mount Nyenchen Khangsar across the distance. From there, you'll visit the turquoise waters of Yamdrok Lake, one of Tibet's three holy lakes. Later you stop at Karola Pass to view the Nyenchen Khangsar glacier and Karola Glacier with its views of the holy mountain.

Shigatse to Lhasa
You'll see Tashi Lhunpo Monastery, where Tibet's second-highest incarnation, the Panchen Lama, resides. Explore the chapels, shrines, and halls connected by alleyways. In the main hall, you'll hear monks chanting. The red Jamkhang Chenmo building houses a massive 90-foot tall statue of Maitreya, the Future Buddha. By evening, you head back to Lhasa by train or vehicle.
