- Day 1
Las Vegas to Grand Canyon
Your adventure kicks off after an 11 am meeting in Las Vegas. From there, you'll drive along Route 66 heading toward the Grand Canyon, stopping in Seligman to check out its quirky character. By evening, you'll arrive in time to watch the sunset turn the canyon walls into shades of red, orange, and gold. Dinner with your fellow travelers gives you a chance to get to know the group.

- Day 2
Grand Canyon
A Grand Canyon Conservancy guide leads a walking tour along the South Rim, taking you through the Historic Village while explaining the canyon's geology, history, fossils, wildlife, and the tribal communities living there. The rest of the day is yours to spend however you'd like - rent a bike for the Rim Trail or join ranger-led programs. Another spectacular sunset awaits you this evening.

Grand Canyon to Monument Valley
Wake early to catch the sunrise at the Grand Canyon, then head out via the eastern entrance. You'll stop at Desert View Watchtower and the town of Cameron to visit the Navajo trading post and grab lunch. At Monument Valley, a Navajo guide takes you on a sunset Jeep tour through backcountry, showing you natural landmarks, rock arches, and petroglyph art. Navajo tacos come for dinner, followed by an evening around the campfire with Native American cultural performances including dancing, flute playing, drumming, and storytelling.

- Day 4
Monument Valley to Canyon de Chelly
You'll drive from Monument Valley to Canyon de Chelly National Monument, watching the landscape shift to red rock formations and high desert terrain. The scenic South Rim Drive includes stops at viewpoints like Spider Rock Overlook and Junction. Later in the afternoon, a Navajo guide takes you down into Canyon de Chelly, sharing traditional stories and pointing out ancient Ancestral Puebloan ruins including the famous White House Ruins, plus insights into contemporary Navajo life. Dinner happens at your Navajo-owned lodge.

Canyon de Chelly to Durango
Today's drive takes you through the Four Corners region's high desert landscape toward Durango, Colorado. Watch the terrain shift as elevation increases, moving from desert mesas and red rock country to pine-covered hills and alpine foothills of the San Juan Mountains. Upon arrival, your leader gives you an orientation of Durango's historic downtown with its preserved Main Avenue, Old West character, Victorian-era buildings, locally owned restaurants, craft breweries, and galleries. Your evening is free to explore and pick from the town's many dining options.

- Day 6
Durango to Mesa Verde National Park
An early departure takes you to Mesa Verde National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site with over 5,000 archaeological sites spanning 700 years of Ancestral Puebloan civilization. You'll drive the Mesa Top Loop Road and stop at Chapin Mesa Archaeological Museum to learn how communities evolved from early pit houses to sophisticated pueblos. A ranger-led tour of Cliff Palace shows you the largest cliff dwelling in North America with 150 rooms and 23 ceremonial chambers. Your ranger explains the architectural ingenuity and the mysteries of why people left in the late 1200s. After exploring additional sites and taking in Four Corners views, you'll head back to Durango for dinner.

Durango to Colorado Springs
The drive to Colorado Springs passes through diverse landscapes from the San Juan Mountains to the Front Range plains, with a lunch stop in a local mountain community. Garden of the Gods awaits you there, a public park with towering red sandstone formations that contrast against Pikes Peak and the Rockies. As sunset approaches, the late afternoon light creates an intense glow on the red rocks. You'll walk the paved trails around Balanced Rock and Cathedral Spires. Back in Colorado Springs, your evening is free to explore downtown, try a local restaurant, or sample beers at a microbrewery.

Colorado Springs to Denver
Your leader takes you around Colorado Springs before you head north toward Denver. The drive offers scenic Front Range views as you travel to Colorado's capital. Your trip concludes in Denver with the afternoon and evening free to explore the Mile High City independently, visit local attractions, or handle your departure from Denver International Airport. Extended accommodation can be arranged beforehand through your booking agent if you'd like to stay longer.
