Itinerary
- Day 1
Istanbul
You'll land in Istanbul and head to a 1 pm welcome meeting with your group and tour leader. From there, a guided tour takes you through the Old City where you'll see the ancient hippodrome, the Blue Mosque, and wander through the Grand Bazaar before checking out Suleymaniye Cami. Later that evening, you'll sit down with your fellow travelers for dinner featuring authentic Turkish kebab.

- Day 2
Istanbul to Canakkale
After breakfast, the drive to Canakkale takes you down to the Dardanelles' southern shore. A guided tour of Gallipoli follows, where you'll walk through significant WWI sites including ANZAC Cove, Brighton Beach, and the ANZAC Commemorative Site. You'll get nice views of the Dardanelles Strait before settling into Canakkale for the night, and dinner is on your own time to explore.

Canakkale to Selcuk
The day starts with a drive to the ancient city of Troy where you'll explore the ruins with your leader and grab a photo next to the replica Trojan Horse. After that, you'll head to Selcuk for an orientation walk past Isa Bey Mosque and the Grand Fortress. Then it's off to nearby Sirince village to try locally produced fruit wines and see the unique Greek Ottoman architecture. You'll return to Selcuk by evening with free time to yourself.

Selcuk to Izmir
A private minivan takes you to Ephesus, one of the world's best-preserved Greco-Roman classical cities. Your local guide leads you through the ruins, pointing out the striking Library of Celsus and the well-preserved Great Theatre. After lunch, you'll watch local ladies making gozleme before transferring to Izmir for an overnight train heading to Konya.

Konya to Cappadocia (Urgup)
You'll wake up in Konya and visit the Mevlana Museum to learn about the whirling dervish sect. From there, the drive across the Anatolian plains toward Cappadocia gives you chances to spot the region's distinctive fairy chimneys. There's a stop at an underground city that served as a historic refuge, then you'll arrive in Urgup by late afternoon. A sunset valley walk happens before you check into a traditional cave hotel with views overlooking the valley.

Cappadocia (Urgup)
Start with an optional sunrise hot air balloon flight over Cappadocia's fairy chimneys, or watch the views from the ground if that's not for you. A scenic valley walk with your leader takes you through deserted rock-cut homes and cave churches. The UNESCO-listed Goreme Open Air Museum is available if you want to explore it yourself. Come evening, you're invited into a local family home for a special home-cooked dinner experience.

Cappadocia to Istanbul
A transfer to the airport gets you on a flight back to Istanbul, arriving between 1 pm and 4 pm. After checking into your hotel, you'll take an evening stroll to one of Istanbul's trendiest neighborhoods where traditional tradesmen work alongside cool cafes and galleries. Try local street food like balik ekmek (fish sandwich) and baklava, then catch up with your group at bars or relax with Turkish tea while overlooking the Bosphorus.

Istanbul
Your Turkey adventure wraps up after breakfast with no activities scheduled. You're free to depart whenever it works for you. If you'd like to stick around longer, additional accommodation can be arranged based on what's available.
