Itinerary
- Day 1
Alta Pusteria
You'll arrive at your hotel in Alta Pusteria and get checked in. After settling into your room, you can spend the rest of the day relaxing and preparing for the hiking that starts tomorrow. It's a good time to grab an early dinner and get some rest before your adventure begins.
- Day 2
Sesto Fiscalina Valley - Three Peaks
A transfer takes you to Sesto Fiscalina Valley where your first hike starts. You'll walk below Paternkofel, a First World War battleground, heading toward the Three Peaks, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The trail passes through Monte Piano with its open-air museum. This full day hike runs about 6.5 hours of walking, so you'll want to pace yourself and bring plenty of water and snacks along the way.

- Day 3
Lago Sorapis - Cortina d'Ampezzo
After a bus ride to Ex Rifugio San Lorenzo, you'll hike up to Lago Sorapis, a striking milky-turquoise glacial lake. The route then continues to Passo Tre Croci before you climb to Faloria. You'll finish the day with a gondola descent into Cortina d'Ampezzo, the Alpine resort that hosted the 1956 Winter Olympics. If you want a shorter day, a public bus option is available from Passo Tre Croci instead.

- Day 4
Cortina d'Ampezzo - Lagazuoi
Starting from Cortina, you'll hike to Col Druscie and then climb toward Lagazuoi's summit. This mountain has First World War fortifications you can explore, including restored tunnels, trenches, and artillery placements in an open-air museum. There's an accessible 1 km tunnel that leads down inside the mountain, or you can take a cable car from the summit to Falzarego Pass if you'd rather skip part of the descent.

Passo Valparola - Arabba
From Passo Valparola, you'll hike through sparse Swiss stone pine and larch forest over a grassy ridge to Passo Sief. Along the way you'll come across First World War relics like trenches, shelters, and barbed wire. The route goes below Monte Sief and Col di Lana, which was heavily contested during the Alpine front, before you reach Arabba for the night.

Arabba - Canazei
You'll take a cable car up to your starting point in the morning. From Rifugio Luigi Gorza, you'll hike with an easy descent along the ridge toward Pordoi, and you'll get nice panoramic views of Marmolada from here. After passing Col di Rosc, you'll take the cable car down into the valley and then hike to Canazei in Val di Fassa, finishing your hiking portion of the trip.
