Portsmouth to Isle of Wight
Head to Portsmouth and catch the ferry or hovercraft across to the Isle of Wight, arriving in Ryde. This seaside town gives you time to walk around on your own and grab some traditional fish and chips along the promenade while taking in the views.

Ryde to Yarmouth
Today's a cycling day starting in Ryde and heading through Cowes toward Gurnard beach resort. After that you'll cycle inland through quiet villages like Newtown, passing by Queen Victoria's Osborne House, Quarr Abbey, and St. Mildred's Church along the way. The route finishes in Yarmouth where you can see the pier, castle, and historic town square.

Freshwater Bay to Chale
This ride has some hills and offers choices based on your fitness level. You can tackle an optional steep climb to New Battery in The Needles Park for views of the famous rock formations, or skip it and take the bus instead. Later you'll pass through Freshwater Bay and have the option to cycle the Tennyson Trail across the downs. The second half takes you through country lanes and villages like Brighstone, finishing at the coast near Chale below St. Catherine's Down.

Bembridge to Ryde
The final cycling day mixes hilly terrain with coastal stretches. You'll reach Bembridge where the route loops around the estuary harbor, giving you a chance to stop at local pubs for fresh crab or lobster. From there cycle inland around St. Helens before heading back to the coast at Seaview. The last section is a relaxed coastal ride returning to Ryde where you'll drop off your bike and head back.
