Itinerary
- Day 1
Lyon
You'll arrive in Lyon and transfer to the Scenic Sapphire for boarding. After settling in, spend the afternoon getting familiar with the ship. There's time to relax in your suite, grab a drink on the Sun Deck, and take in views across the city from the water.

- Day 2
Chalon-Sur-Saône
The ship heads north into Burgundy wine country, docking in Chalon-sur-Saône with its half-timbered architecture and Gothic cathedral. You'll pick one activity: tour a local wine estate with tasting, take a guided tour through medieval Beaune and its hospice museum, or learn about French Resistance and WWII history in town.

Tournus
Early arrival in Tournus, a Roman-founded town featuring a Romanesque abbey and two Michelin-starred restaurants. Select a morning activity: explore the Renaissance Château de Cormatin with formal gardens, watch a cooking demonstration at Georges Blanc (the world's longest-standing Michelin restaurant), or visit a truffle farm to see the hunting dogs at work. Later, you'll watch a cooperage demonstration about barrel making and wine production.

Tournon
You'll spend the day in Tournon, the center of Northern Rhône Valley wine country. Pick from four morning options: try a guided wine tasting of Côtes du Rhône wines, hike through sloping vineyards, walk the ancient town with its 10th-16th century castle and France's oldest suspension bridge, or cycle part of the Via Rhona route along the river. Free time fills the afternoon, then you'll return to the ship for a dessert buffet from a local pastry chef in the evening.

This morning the ship cruises south as you relax on board, then docks in Avignon, the City of the Popes. Choose from three activities: a guided walk through cobblestone streets and the Pope's Palace, visit the ancient Roman Pont du Gard aqueduct with its museum, or kayak on the Gardon River beneath the structure. Later, you'll attend an exclusive private gala dinner inside the Pope's Palace banquet hall with classical music from a quartet.

You'll arrive in Arles, the southern end of your journey and gateway to the Mediterranean. Founded by Julius Caesar over 2,000 years ago, it holds the largest collection of Roman ruins outside Rome and inspired Van Gogh in 1888. Choose one activity: taste Provence rosé wines at local vineyards, take a guided walk through Roman ruins and city highlights, or visit the Carrières de Lumières digital art installation in medieval Les Baux.

In the afternoon, select another: guided tasting of Côtes du Rhône Villages wines, explore Ardèche Nature Park and the Caverne du Pont-d'Arc Museum with its Palaeolithic cave replica, or visit provincial Grignan with its castle and Collegiate Church.
