Arrival
You'll arrive at your hotel where the group meets up. Take some time to get settled in, meet your travel companions, and rest up before things kick off tomorrow.

- Day 2
Giza
Start the day wandering through Cairo's busy markets and trying street food like hummus and tea. Then head out to see the Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx, the last standing Ancient Wonder of the World. Later this evening you'll board an overnight train to Aswan, which gives you a chance to see the local landscape from a different perspective.

- Day 3
Aswan
Wake up in Aswan and walk along the Nile to get oriented. Take a felucca sailboat ride to observe daily life on the water. That evening you'll board a luxury River Nile cruise for your first of three nights, traveling along Egypt's most important waterway.

Edfu
You have choices today while cruising. Consider visiting Abu Simbel Temple, explore Aswan on your own, or just stay onboard and relax. In the afternoon the boat heads toward Edfu. For the evening, you can either visit Kom Ombo temple or remain on the cruise to use the pool and take in the views.

Luxor
The cruise continues toward Luxor. Once you arrive, walk through town to check out the Avenue of the Sphinxes, a 3km stretch lined with human-headed sphinxes that's perfect for photos. Since you'll have more time in Luxor tomorrow, take it easy this afternoon and evening.

- Day 6
Hurghada
Explore the Valley of the Kings with a guide and see several of the 63 royal tombs scattered throughout the 'City of the Dead'. Then walk through the Temple of Hatshepsut with its symmetrical porticos. If interested, the Temple of Karnak is also available to visit, housing the world's largest religious structure. After that, travel to Hurghada for beach time with clear water, shaded beaches, and golden sunsets.

Spend the morning in Hurghada doing what appeals to you most, whether that's a Red Sea cruise, snorkeling, sunbathing, or just relaxing. Later you'll travel back to Cairo for your last full day with the group. Make the most of your final evening together before departing tomorrow.
