- Day 1
Barcelona
Your Barcelona adventure kicks off at 6 pm with a welcome meeting and vermouth aperitivo. If you arrive early, the city's galleries, cafes and historic spots are worth checking out. The funicular up to Montjuic or Tibidabo gives you harbour views, and grabbing tapas with other travellers is a good way to settle in before the evening meeting.

Barcelona to Girona
Start with a leader-led walk through Barcelona, stopping for local treats along the way. The afternoon is yours to explore at your own pace, so you could head to La Sagrada Familia or Park Guell to see Gaudi's work. Later, take the train to Girona where your leader will walk you through the medieval riverside city and show you the cathedral.

Girona
Walk the medieval walls that Romans built and later expanded in the Middle Ages. From up there you get panoramic views of Girona, the river and San Felix Cathedral. The afternoon is free, so you could check out the Arabic Baths, grab gelato at Rocambolesc, or do a Game of Thrones walking tour. Find dinner at a local restaurant.

Girona to Nimes to Avignon
Head to Nimes in southeast France and meet your leader for an orientation walk to get your bearings. You've got the afternoon free to explore, and the Amphitheatre of Nimes is worth seeing if you're interested in Roman history. By evening, take the train to Avignon, settle into your hotel and take a stroll around the walled city that once housed the French popes.

- Day 5
Avignon
Begin with an orientation walk through local markets packed with fresh local produce. Explore art collections, check out the Palais des Papes, or cross the Pont St-Benezet bridge. If the weather cooperates, renting a bike lets you explore the valley and find local bakeries. Later, gather with other travellers for a French-inspired dinner at a local bistro.

Avignon to Dijon
Travel to Dijon, the capital of Burgundy. You'll take part in a mustard-making workshop where a mustard master teaches you the traditional process, from grinding seeds to mixing wine, vinegar and salt. You'll take home your own custom-blended jar. After that, the rest of your day is free to wander the Palace of the Dukes of Burgundy, Notre-Dame Church, or the Musee des Beaux-Arts.

Take the train to Paris and check into your hotel. Your leader will walk you through the famous city streets to help you get oriented. The rest of the day is yours to explore, so wander the Champs-Elysees, the Latin Quarter filled with students, or bohemian Montmartre. Optional sites include the Louvre, Eiffel Tower or Musee d'Orsay, or you could meet up with fellow travellers for dinner.

You have the day free in Paris until the 6 pm meeting. Head to the Louvre to see the Mona Lisa and Venus de Milo, climb the Eiffel Tower for aerial views, or have a picnic of baguette and cheese at Tuileries, Plantes or Jardin du Luxembourg. After the 6 pm meeting, you'll have evening options for dinner to discover why Paris has such a romantic reputation.

Later, join your group for dinner at a local restaurant using your leader's recommendations.

The rest of your day is free, so you could visit Gravensteen Castle, take a guided boat tour on the canal, or find a restaurant for dinner and try gentse waterzooi.

Ghent to Bruges and back

Later, head back to Ghent for dinner and try moules-frites, a Flemish classic of mussels in white wine with crunchy fries.

The rest of the day is yours to explore, so visit Anne Frank's House, check out De Waag which is a 15th-century fortified gate building, or go to the Heineken Museum to learn about Netherlands beer history.

Amsterdam to Rotterdam day trip
Take a daytrip to Rotterdam, Europe's largest seaport. You'll visit the Floating Farm, the world's first self-sufficient dairy farm, and learn about sustainable farming while seeing the resident cows. The afternoon is free to explore Rotterdam at your own pace, walking through Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen or visiting Euromast Observation Tower for panoramic city views. Then head back to Amsterdam for a free evening.
