- ALinda· October 30th, 2024I loved the small group ( we had 14). The tour guide was a Turkish native and was so knowledgeable and also helpful. The scenery was unique and jaw dropping.I loved the time we spent having lunch in the home of a sweet lady and her family. All the food was exceptional and we got to try good Turkish home style cooking as well as some excellent fine dining. The accommodations were all amazing and some unlike any I have ever stayed in (cave hotel). All in all, what’s not to love? My family and friends were not too sure it was a good idea to go there now with the war going on in Israel. - ACynthia· October 30th, 2024For me, the best part of Collette's Treasures of Turkey tour was the variety of experiences it provided. Wandering through WWI battlefields & cemeteries in Gallipoli. Observing how rose oil and rose water are extracted, from the garden to the finished product. Walking through incredible historical sites. Roaming through the various markets, including the Grand Bazaar. Touring a sea turtle rescue center. Participating in a cooking class. Visiting a rural farm and meeting the family. Wine tasting at a Turkish winery. Attending a Whirling Dervish ceremony. Cruising the Bosphorus and the Dardanelles. In addition to all of those inclusions, we had the opportunity to add a hot air balloon over the impressive landscape of Cappadocia, and experience a Turkish bath at a traditional hammam -- both extras that I highly recommended.Show moreTrip date: April 2024Review collected by Collette

The tour easily covered both the ancient and modern aspect of Turkey. A special shoutout also the the bus driver.
