The highlight was visiting Taquile Island - the boat trip on Titicaca was calm and beautiful. We hiked to watch the sunset with our knowledgable local guide Ivan. Staying at Valentino's guest house and being fed by his family was a priviledge.

Lake Titicaca was beautiful - we were lucky with the weather. The parades around Cusco were fab + all the Inti Raymi celebrations The evening with the villagers in the Andes was lovely.

Machu Picchu was the reason for booking the trip, and was amazing. Taquille island was a huge highlight due to staying with the local family and also thanks to the local guide Ivan and tour leader Hector.

The visit to Machu Pichu was definitely a highlight, seeing an incredibly unique archaeological site with great views and good tour guide. Ollantaytambo was another highlight, especially the day where we saw Moray and Maras (optional extras), which were fascinating, followed by going up Ollantaytambo ruins, finishing with the Misminay community visit. Was a great combination of sites and activities on that day.

The stay at Tequile island and the experience of the way that people live was a very pleasant experience. The visit at Machu Picchu was brilliant as expected. However, the visits at all the other towns and cities always offered another characteristic of Peru, which was very satisfactory to see.

For tours departing after November 30th, 2025, a minimum payment of 10% is required to confirm your booking with Explore!. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 75 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
