Itinerary
- Day 1
Oslo
You'll arrive in Oslo and head to your hotel to settle in. Stop by the Expeditions hospitality desk to pick up your luggage cabin tags, then you have the rest of the day free to walk around the city on your own and get a feel for the place.

Oslo to Longyearbyen
After breakfast at the hotel, you'll transfer to the airport for a charter flight to Longyearbyen. Once there, you'll take a guided tour around town and visit Camp Barentz in Advent Valley to meet the huskies and learn about local history. The Svalbard Museum comes next before heading to the pier to board the ship late in the afternoon.

Spitsbergen West Coast
You'll sail along Spitsbergen's west coast with alpine peaks and glacier valleys coming into view. A zodiac cruise takes you near the 14th July Glacier in Magdalenefjorden to see its turquoise ice cliffs up close. Later you'll walk through Waggonway Glacier area surrounded by summer wildflowers while keeping an eye out for reindeer and Arctic foxes. Look for Atlantic puffins and guillemots on the cliff faces too.

Spitsbergen
Today focuses on exploring Spitsbergen, the largest island in the Svalbard Archipelago and its raw Arctic landscape. Your Expedition Team uses their knowledge of the region to plan activities based on what the weather, sea ice, and wildlife are doing that day, so activities can shift based on conditions.

Landmarks Spitsbergen - Day 5
Spitsbergen Arctic Wildlife
You'll experience the fjords, mountain ranges, and polar desert with lots of fossils scattered around. Watch for walrus resting on sea ice and beaches while you trek across tundra covered in colorful wildflowers. Tall cliffs with nesting guillemots and puffins are on the agenda, plus scree slopes where Svalbard's biggest little auk colonies hang out.

Spitsbergen Polar Bears
The Expedition Team keeps watch for polar bears on the pack ice today. This is your chance to see these powerful animals in their natural Arctic home, with the team scanning constantly for sightings.

Spitsbergen Optional Activities
Optional activities are available if conditions work out, including kayaking when the water and weather cooperate. You also have the chance to do a polar plunge in the Arctic waters if you're up for it and conditions allow, giving you a memory you won't forget.

Longyearbyen to Oslo
The ship cruises back into Longyearbyen early in the morning and you'll disembark to say goodbye to your Expedition Team. You have some free time to explore town before heading to the airport for your return charter flight back to Oslo.
