- DKDina· July 9th, 2024This trip was an exciting adventure! Our family, my husband, and our 3 adult children hiked, biked, rafted, and explored Peru. The four-day tour was perfect for our 10-day trip. Our guide Vincent from Trexperience was knowledgeable, safe, energetic, and positive. He guided us every step and made our experience fun and educational.Show moreTrip date: June 2024

- JOJanet· April 5th, 2023The tour was an amazing adventure that we could not have done without Vincent our guide. He was constantly trying to stay one step ahead and make sure everything was in place and on time for us. The tour was an excellent combination of biking, rafting and hiking and we are so happy we added the zip-lining in because that was so much fun! A few things we learned along the way - you can't put enough bug spray on, make sure you pack a small towel and check the weather specifically for the time you are going because it may be warmer than you think. Also, be prepared to meet some of the friendliest people and eat the most delicious food. My suggestion to the company would be to look at changing the mountain biking route so there is more time on the bike and also find a better hotel in Santa Teresa. I hope more people do this tour. It is a wonderful to way to immerse yourself in the local culture and soak in the stunning views and ask for Vincent to be your guide!Show moreTreXperience commented on this reviewDear traveler, thank you for your kind comments! - Kevin· August 2nd, 2022Vincent was our tour guide. He was amazing. His combination of knowledge, energy and excitement were superb! He was a very good judge of character and helped us enjoy our trek because he adapted to us when necessary. We loved his knowledge and passion for the jungle. He was genuine and a great "people person." We could tell that he formed great relationships with the families that we stayed with. And even though it rained on our morning at Machu Picchu, he still provided a wealth of information about that beautiful place! We highly recommend Vincent and if we do another tour, we will be requesting him!Show moreTreXperience commented on this reviewDear traveler, thank you for your kind comments! - Michael· June 5th, 2019The tour overall was amazing. The accommodations at each place were really great! And the food was great! The bikes for the mountain biking were in quite poor condition and felt quite unsafe at times (and we are not unfamiliar with downhill mountain biking). We would have liked to have done a bit more hiking, we only did a very small portion of an Inca trail. Also we weren’t told about the 12km along the train track which was a bit of a disappointment for us on the last day, however we understand that was the only way to Aguascalientes. Our guide (sorry I cannot remember his name) was very enthusiastic about the Incan culture and seemed very knowledgeable about this. He did rush us through Machu Picchu itself which was a shame because we couldn’t go back and look at parts that we had skipped past such as the observatory etc. Despite these minor things we had a fantastic time and really appreciated the effort put into the tour. Thank youShow moreTreXperience commented on this reviewDear Michael, Thank you so much for this very constructive and honest review, we are really grateful that you came to Peru, choose our company and visiting Machu Picchu.
