- Day 1
Amman
You'll land in Amman and pick up your rental car to begin exploring the city. The Amman Citadel offers panoramic views across the capital along with ancient ruins worth seeing. After that, wander through the old city where you'll find hidden markets and local cafes tucked away. By evening, sit down for a traditional Jordanian dinner to finish your first day here.

- Day 2
Amman to Madaba
Drive north from Amman to Jerash, where one of the best-preserved Roman cities in the world awaits you. You'll walk through ancient streets, see theaters and temples, and check out the colonnaded avenues. Then head to Ajloun to visit a 12th-century medieval castle built by Saladin's forces, with nice views from the ramparts. End your day in Madaba as the sun sets.

Aqaba to Amman
Your journey from Aqaba heads back toward Amman. You might spend time exploring Aqaba's local markets or take a swim before leaving. Consider stopping at Mount Nebo, the biblical site where Moses looked out over the Promised Land, with views and ancient mosaics to see. Alternatively, head straight to Amman if you'd rather revisit any sites from your first day here.

- Day 4
Madaba to Al Nawatef
Begin in the morning at the Madaba Archaeological Museum to learn more about the city's mosaic heritage. Travel to Umm ar-Rasas, a UNESCO site with Byzantine churches and early Islamic structures featuring fine mosaic floors. Later, venture into Wadi Mujib to see the canyon landscape and dramatic rock formations. Tour Karak Castle, a Crusader fortress with notable history. Finish your day at Al Nawatef village where you'll have glamping and see the sunset over the canyon.

- Day 5
Wadi Ghuweir
Today you're heading into Wadi Ghuweir desert canyon for a hiking adventure. The hike is flexible, so you can adjust it based on your energy level. You'll need to pack lunch and plenty of water beforehand. Walk through one of Jordan's canyons where water keeps palm trees and greenery alive among dramatic rock formations. It's a full day of hiking through a less-crowded area.

Then travel to Little Petra (Triclinium), a smaller sister site to Petra that was important along the Silk Road. You can explore rock-carved temples and chambers here. As evening approaches, prepare for Petra by Night, where hundreds of lanterns and candles light your path through the Siq to the Treasury, with local music and stories included.

- Day 7
Petra to Wadi Rum
This is your main Petra day. Arrive early to beat the crowds and explore the rock-carved city carved into rose-hued sandstone. You'll see the famous Treasury in daylight along with the Royal Tombs, the Monastery, and valleys filled with ancient temples and amphitheaters. Take your time finding viewpoints, temples, and caves throughout the day. After exploring, travel to Wadi Rum desert and spend the night in a Bedouin camp under the stars.

Wadi Rum
Wake up in the middle of Wadi Rum, known as the Valley of the Moon, with its dramatic sandstone mountains and vast canyons. Take a Jeep tour through the desert to see natural sandstone bridges, hidden valleys, and unique rock formations. You'll come across ancient petroglyphs and visit a local Bedouin farm to see camels and learn about their culture. Have a traditional Bedouin lunch, then head back to your car for the drive toward Aqaba.

Madaba to Aqaba
Start at the Church of St. George in Madaba, which has an incredible Byzantine mosaic map of the Holy Land inside. Then head to the Dead Sea where you can float in the exceptionally salty water and take photos with a newspaper (it's a thing). Later, make your way to Ma'in Hot Springs to soak in the natural thermal waters and experience the hot waterfall for a relaxing afternoon.

After more than a week of traveling through Jordan, your trip comes to an end. If you have time, take a final walk through Amman's streets for one last look at the city and its history. Make sure you arrive at the airport with enough time to return your rental car and complete check-in without rushing.
