Itinerary
- Day 1
Departure to Belize City
Your flight departs for Belize City with a scheduled stopover, and you'll arrive the next day. It's a long travel day, so get comfortable for the journey ahead.

Arrival in Belize City
Once you land at Belize City airport, your tour guide will meet you there. From there, it's a transfer to your hotel where the group gathers to go over what's coming up on the trip.

Lamanai & Belize City
After a tropical breakfast, you'll drive to Tower Hill boat landing and then take a river boat through the New River nature reserve to reach Lamanai, an ancient Mayan city deep in the rainforest. The site shows over 3,000 years of continuous habitation, so there's a lot to see. Later you'll head back to Belize City for a short walk through the city center before the day ends.

Landmarks/POIs Lamanai - Day 4
San Ignacio
This day kicks off with cave tubing—you'll hike through rainforest for roughly an hour before entering a cave and floating down an underground stream lit by your headlamps. After that, you travel by vehicle to the Cayo district and check out Xunantunich, a Mayan site with a 130-meter-high pyramid that ranks among Belize's tallest structures. You'll end up in San Ignacio for the night.

Landmarks/POIs Xunantunich - Day 5
San Ignacio
Today takes you to Tikal, a major Mayan complex sitting deep in the Guatemalan jungle. Your guide will walk you through the northern and central acropolis, the central square, Temple IV, and Mundo Perdido, showing you the most significant areas of this massive site. By evening you're back in San Ignacio.

Landmarks/POIs Tikal - Day 6
San Ignacio
You'll travel 2 to 3 hours into the Maya Mountains to reach Caracol, Belize's largest archaeological site. The Caana pyramid stands 41 meters high and offers great views for photos. On the return trip, you'll stop at a stalactite cave and take a swim in the Rio On Pools to cool off.

South Water Caye - Punta Gorda
The drive along Hummingbird Highway takes you to Hopkins, a Garifuna town on the Caribbean coast. From there, a boat carries you to South Water Caye where you'll relax on beaches lined with coconut palms and swim. You'll also do a snorkeling trip out to the second longest barrier reef. Later in the afternoon, head south to the Toledo District and settle near Punta Gorda for the night.

Landmarks/POIs South Water Caye Hopkins - Day 8
Punta Gorda
You'll visit Lubaantun, the largest ceremonial site in southern Belize, known for its limestone blocks stacked without mortar. The site dates to around 700 to 900 AD and is linked to the famous crystal head discovery from 1924. Then you walk the Cacao Trail to meet cocoa farmer Eladio Pop on his plantation and learn about Mayan family traditions and cacao farming.

Landmarks/POIs Lubaantun - Day 9
Belize Zoo - Ambergris Caye
Starting your journey back north, you'll visit Blue Hole National Park, a striking blue cenote in the jungle where you can take a dip. Next is the Belize Zoo, which opened in 1983 and features only native species spread across 12 hectares. Later you'll head to Belize City, catch a ferry to Ambergris Caye, and have time for a 90-minute swim at your hotel.
