Itinerary
- Day 1
Hobart
You'll arrive in Hobart and spend the day getting to know Australia's southernmost city. Start by heading up Mt. Nelson for panoramic views across the capital, then walk through Salamanca Place where you'll find galleries, cafes, and restaurants to explore. Constitution Dock is next, where you can see where Sydney to Hobart yachts finish their legendary race. After that, take time to stroll through Australia's second-oldest Botanical Gardens. By evening, you'll have dinner with your Travel Director to wrap up the day.

- Day 2
Hobart to Strahan
Today you're heading west into Tasmania's wilderness. Mount Field National Park is where you'll see Russell Falls and walk through World Heritage-listed terrain with towering eucalypts and dramatic waterfalls. From there, you'll continue to Lake St. Clair, which is Australia's deepest freshwater lake, and then head on to Strahan where you'll stay the night. This small town serves as the gateway to Franklin-Gordon Wild Rivers National Park.

Gordon River Cruise
You're taking a cruise on the Gordon River, traveling to Sarah Island and Heritage Landing along the way. The river has a fascinating penal colony history you'll learn about, and you'll see 2,000-year-old Huon pine trees that still stand. The Hells Gates at the river's entrance are particularly striking, and after passing through, you'll head north toward Cradle Mountain for the night.

Cradle Mountain
Cradle Mountain reaches 1,545 metres, and you'll experience the wild alpine moorlands around Dove Lake while you're there. You'll learn about the Tasmanian Devil and do a sanctuary tour at Devils@Cradle, which directly supports conservation efforts. After exploring, you'll head toward the scenic north-west coast for your overnight stay.

Start your day at Table Cape, a 180-metre high volcanic lookout where you can see up to 175 kilometres along Tasmania's coastline. You'll pass through Penguin, a quirky town known for its penguin sculptures, and then Sheffield, which features over 100 historic murals painted on buildings. At Ashgrove Tasmanian Farm, you'll do a cheese tasting with award-winning local varieties, and there's also the option to try locally made ice cream if you're interested.

Launceston
Launceston is where nature sits right minutes from the city center. You'll see Cataract Gorge, a dramatic natural chasm that was carved by ancient rivers, complete with bushland and Victorian gardens filled with ferns and exotic plants. For your afternoon, you have choices: take an optional scenic chairlift that goes over the gorge, do an optional river cruise along the cliff faces, or simply explore this historic port city on your own terms.
