Itinerary
- Day 1
Frankfurt
You'll arrive at Frankfurt airport and get transferred to your hotel downtown. In the afternoon, a guided tour takes you through Römer Platz and St. Paul's Church, then along the Museum Embankment before walking the Main River. After crossing the bridge, you'll see the Mainhattan skyline with all those tall buildings stretching across the river.

The rest of the day is yours to spend however you like, whether that means visiting the Cathedral or wandering through the Old Town.

Cologne to Hamburg
Following breakfast, you'll take a scenic train north to Hamburg, Germany's port city. Later, you board an XXL-harbour boat cruise to see Europe's second-largest port from the water and get a real sense of the scale of it all.

Berlin to Potsdam
Start the day with breakfast at your hotel. A guided tour takes you to Potsdam, which sits south of Berlin and serves as Brandenburg's capital. You'll visit the parks and palaces of Sanssouci, Germany's largest World Heritage Site, complete with interconnected lakes and unique cultural sites. Back in Berlin by evening, you can check out the Philharmonic or grab drinks at Potsdamer Platz or the Sony Center on your own.

Berlin to Dresden
After breakfast, you travel by train to Dresden in eastern Germany. The restored Old Town shows you the Frauenkirche, the Semper Opera House, the Balcony of Europe overlooking the Elbe River, and the Zwinger medieval fortress containing the Old Masters Collection. You'll see how the city moved through medieval times, wartime, the Communist era, and into today's thriving scene. Free time lets you visit museums, relax by the water, or check out the flea market. You return to Berlin in the afternoon.
