Itinerary
- Day 1
Ivalo
You'll arrive in Ivalo and get a transfer out to Wilderness Hotel Saariselkä, which takes about 35 minutes. Once you're there, you can settle in and check out the resort's facilities whenever you feel like it. There's no rush to do anything specific on this first day, so you'll have time to get comfortable and acclimate to the location.

Landmarks Wilderness Hotel Saariselkä 
- Day 2
Saariselkä
This morning starts with traditional reindeer sledding through the snowy landscapes with a professional guide who'll teach you about Sami culture and how reindeer are raised here. After you finish that, you'll head back for a break. Come evening, you'll drive out to a viewing point to search for the Northern Lights. Warm drinks and snacks are provided while you wait, so it's comfortable even in the cold.

Landmarks Saariselkä - Day 3
Saariselkä
You'll start early with a snowmobile tour around the Saariselkä fell landscape, which runs about 4.5 hours including a lunch break partway through. After lunch, it's on to the husky dog sled safari, where you'll share a sledge with another participant for roughly 2.5 hours total, though the actual ride time is around 45 to 60 minutes. It's a full day of different ways to get around the Arctic.

Landmarks Saariselkä - Day 4
Saariselkä
You'll strap on snowshoes and hike to the historic Prospector gold mine, a trip that takes about 3 hours. Your guide will point out wildlife and share stories about the local heritage along the way. Later in the evening, you'll head to Aurora Camp where you can watch for the Northern Lights from inside a lavvu tent, which is warmed by a fire. You'll spend around 2.5 hours there, so it's a relaxed way to end the day.
