Itinerary
- Day 1
Alta
You'll arrive in Alta and get picked up for a shared transfer to Gargia Lodge in the Gargia Valley. Once you settle in, dinner happens in a traditional Sami lavvo tent where you'll learn about the Northern Lights during a presentation. If the weather cooperates, you might see the real Northern Lights moving across the Arctic sky.

Landmarks Finnmarksvidda - Day 2
Snowmobile Safari
After breakfast, you head out on a snowmobile adventure following the old postal route to Finnmarksvidda, which is Europe's largest mountain plain. The route takes you through snow-covered forests and up to vast Arctic plateaus. You'll share a snowmobile with someone else and take turns driving. Weather permitting, lunch is a hearty meal served in the open air surrounded by Arctic wilderness.

Landmarks Finnmarksvidda - Day 3
Snowshoe Hike and Dog Sled Safari
Starting with snowshoes, you hike to the frozen Orvvosfossen waterfall (about 2 km each way) with snacks and hot drinks along the route. Lunch comes next, then you'll try the heated riverside sauna to experience Finnish sauna culture. After an early dinner, a dog sled safari departs from a mountain hut and travels through pine forests up to the Finnmarksvidda plateau. You'll share the sled in pairs and take turns driving for around 1 hour. Afterward, warm up with coffee or tea while your guide talks about dog sledding and local history.

This is your flexible day to explore the surrounding area on your own or stay at Gargia Lodge and relax. The lodge offers a sauna and restaurant if you'd rather take it easy.

Departure
