Itinerary
- Day 1
Cape Town
You'll arrive in Cape Town and get settled into your accommodation in the city center. This is your chance to orient yourself and start getting a feel for the place where mountains rise right up from the coast. Take some time to walk around, grab dinner, and rest up before the adventure really kicks off.
- Day 2
Cape Town
This morning you're hiking Table Mountain with a guide, working your way up through sandstone cliffs and fynbos vegetation to reach that famous flat top. The views from up there span the whole city and coastline. You'll take the cable car down, then spend your afternoon on a city history tour hitting the Bo-Kaap, Company's Garden, St. George's Cathedral, Green Market Square, District Six Museum, and the Slave Lodge.

Cape Town to Cape Point to Kalk Bay
You'll drive Chapman's Peak today, one of those routes where you keep wanting to pull over for photos with the ocean cliffs dropping right down to the sea. After that, it's into Cape Point Nature Reserve where dramatic coastal cliffs meet rare fynbos landscape. Stop at the lighthouse and grab fresh fish and chips at Kalk Bay Harbour, a working fishing village that's got real character.

Hermanus to Knysna
You're heading east along the Garden Route today through scenic sections of South Africa. Stop in Swellendam to see Cape Dutch architecture and local farm stalls, then continue to Knysna, nestled between mountains and the Indian Ocean. The lagoon there is tranquil and The Heads, those dramatic sandstone cliffs, are impressive.

Knysna

Johannesburg to Muluwa Lodge
Travel north to the Lowveld region of Mpumalanga with a scenic overland drive. You'll arrive at Muluwa Lodge, a quiet retreat with views over valleys and mountains with plains game grazing nearby. Settle in, explore the surroundings a bit, and have dinner at the lodge.

Panorama Route to Kruger National Park

Drop into Graskop Gorge and walk the elevated walkways and suspension bridges through the indigenous forest. You'll arrive at Mdluli Safari Lodge in Kruger by golden hour for your first game drive.
