Arrival at Tivat
You'll start your adventure right after picking up your 4WD at Tivat Airport. The drive up Lovćen Ridge gives you incredible views of the Bay of Kotor the whole way. Stop in Njeguši village, which sits high on the mountain, and taste some local cheeses and prosciutto there. After that, you'll drive through Lovćen National Park and reach Cetinje, a historic town that was Montenegro's old capital. Tara Canyon
Start early for off-road driving through lunar-like landscape with Tara Canyon spreading out below you. You'll then raft on the Tara River with those tall cliffs all around, which takes a couple hours depending on water levels. Lunch happens at a local home under plum trees, and it's hearty traditional food. After eating, you can choose to do the yellow Omega ride for aerial views if you want, or skip it and go straight to hiking toward Tara Waterfalls (you'll cross a wooden bridge to get there). The route continues off-road through the Sinjajevina Range, and you'll finish the day swimming in a clear mountain lake. This day packs a lot of activities, so you're out from early morning until evening.

Eastern Montenegro
This day takes you into Eastern Montenegro close to the Albanian border. You'll visit Ali Pasha Springs and check out the ruins of an old flour mill. Then there's a hike to a hidden waterfall, followed by exploring the Lake Plav region. The Invisible Waterfall is on the agenda, plus the Blue Eye, which is this unique natural spring that's worth seeing. Timing matters here though; May, June, or October are the best months because water levels and weather are ideal. Expect a mix of hiking and driving through quiet, less-traveled areas.

Biogradska Gora
Start with a hike around Lake Biogradska inside Biogradska Gora Nature Reserve. The forest here is incredibly old and thick with greenery, so it feels removed from everything else. After that, you'll drive off-road up to the Bjelasica Mountains ridges. A traditional Katun, which is basically a summer shepherds' home, is where you'll have a simple homemade Montenegrin lunch. From there, the route descends on rough logging trails through untouched wilderness down into the Lim River Valley. You're combining hiking, driving, and a cultural experience all in one day.

Lake Skadar and Adriatic Coast
This is a longer day but worth it. You'll leave the mountains behind by driving off-road from Kolašin past a small church (it has an interesting history to it). The route descends toward Moraća River, and then you head to Lake Skadar, which is the largest lake in the Balkans. You'll take a peaceful boat ride there, seeing water lilies and native birds. Later in the day, you move toward the Adriatic coast where you'll see Sveti Stefan, a former fortified village that's now a luxury resort on an island. End your day near the coast after this long but rewarding stretch.
