Overnight Flight to Kolkata
You'll arrive in Kolkata after an overnight flight. Depending on when you land, the afternoon and evening are yours to wander around and get a feel for the city at your own pace.

Kolkata
A guided city tour takes you through Kolkata's major sights, starting with Birla Planetarium and Belur Math before heading to Dakineshwar Kali Temple. You'll see the white marble Victoria Memorial, then finish with an evening walk down Park Street to experience the downtown energy.

This morning you'll walk through colonial Kolkata, checking out Dalhousie Square and the architecture from the British Raj period. After lunch, you'll visit Mother House where Mother Teresa lived from 1953, including her tomb and a museum about her life.

Kolkata to Gangtok
You'll head to the airport for a domestic flight to Bagdogra. From there, a drive takes you to Gangtok as you wind through Sikkim's landscape with Himalayan peaks surrounding you the entire way.

Gangtok
In Gangtok, you'll visit the 18th-century Rumtek Monastery and the colorful Enchey Monastery. Later you'll go to Tashi Viewpoint for views of Mount Kanchenjunga, then ride the cable ropeway up for a panoramic look at the city and valleys below.

Gangtok to Darjeeling
You'll travel through the Himalayan foothills passing tea plantations on your way to Darjeeling. A stop at Ravangla Buddha Park lets you see a 40-metre copper Buddha statue set against the mountain backdrop.

Darjeeling
Before sunrise you'll head up Tiger Hill to watch the sun rise over Kanchenjunga (weather permitting). After a relaxed morning, you'll ride the famous toy train to Ghoom, visit Ghoom Monastery and the Zoological Park, then tour the Mountaineering Institute and Tibetan Refugee Center. You'll end with an evening market walk.

You'll transfer to Bagdogra airport for your domestic flight to Guwahati. The rest of your day is open for exploring the city or just taking it easy.

Guwahati to Brahmaputra River Cruise
You'll head to Silghat on the Brahmaputra River to board your luxury cruise ship with its spa, sun deck, and comfortable cabins. After boarding, you'll cruise upstream and have lunch and dinner on the ship.

Brahmaputra River / Kaziranga National Park
You'll disembark for a jeep safari into Kaziranga National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You'll spot Indian rhinoceros, elephants, sloth bears, and other wildlife. After lunch by the river, you'll explore more of the park's western side.

The morning takes you to an Assam tea estate where you'll learn how tea is made from picking to brewing. Back on the ship, you'll cruise through more of the park watching for wildlife on the riverbanks before anchoring near Biswanath village.

Majuli Island / Brahmaputra River Cruise
You'll explore Majuli, one of the world's largest river islands. You'll visit two satras (monasteries) and watch a traditional dance performance. Later you'll visit Salmara Ghat and a nearby village where artisans create handicrafts.
