You'll fly overnight to Vientiane through Bangkok. When you arrive, timing varies, but you'll have the rest of the day to yourself to get a feel for the city and start getting oriented with the local pace.

Vientiane
This morning you'll hit the local market, then move on to two important temples: Wat Si Saket and Wat Phra Keo, which used to serve as the royal temple. After that, you'll see the sacred That Luang Stupa and the Patuxai Victory Monument. Before wrapping up, stop at the COPE visitor centre to learn about the region's history.

Vientiane to Vang Vieng
You'll head from Vientiane toward Vang Vieng, stopping at Ban Keun to see how traditional salt production works here, since it's central to the local economy. Once you arrive in Vang Vieng, you're surrounded by dramatic limestone cliffs, which is why the town has become known as Laos's adventure hub.

Vang Vieng
You'll walk through Tham Chang cave, then spend time exploring the limestone countryside around the Nam Song River. The scenery here really shows why people come to Vang Vieng for activities and outdoor experiences.

Vang Vieng to Luang Prabang
You'll head back to Vientiane and catch a flight to Luang Prabang. This city really captures what Laos is about with bright colors, strong cultural heritage, and traces of French colonial influence throughout the architecture and layout.

Luang Prabang
After seeing Wat Visoun and Wat Xieng Thong temples, you'll take a boat up the Mekong River to the Pak Ou caves, which contain hundreds of small Buddhist statues. On the way back, you'll stop at the villages of Thin Hong and Ban Xang Khong to see how people live along the river.

You'll start at the National Museum, which is set in the old Royal Palace building. Then you're heading out to the Ock Pop Tok Weaving Centre to see traditional textile work. Later, you'll get to Kuang Si Waterfalls, where you can swim in the bright blue pools or just relax by the water.

Luang Prabang to Siem Reap
You'll get up early to see the Takbat ceremony, where local monks collect food donations from residents. Later, climb Phousi Hill for views across the city. By late afternoon, you'll fly to Siem Reap in Cambodia.

Angkor Complex
You'll start early exploring Angkor Thom's walled city, including the Bayon temple with its carved faces, the Elephant Terrace, and the Terrace of the Leper King. Then you'll check out Ta Prohm, the temple surrounded by jungle growth. In the afternoon, you'll spend time at Angkor Wat examining the detailed stonework. As the day ends, you'll take a sunset boat ride around the moat.

Floating Villages and Apsara Dance
Depending on the season, you'll either visit Beng Mealea temple or Chong Kneas floating village. You'll take a boat on Tonle Sap Lake and stop at Kampong Kleng to see how people live on the water. On the way back to Siem Reap, you'll visit the SATCHA Handicraft Centre. Later this evening, you'll have dinner while watching an Apsara dance performance.

You'll go to Banteay Srei, a Hindu temple made of rose-colored sandstone covered with detailed carvings. It's a smaller temple but has intricate decoration that's different from many of the other sites.

You're traveling south to Battambang, a former colonial city where you'll see a lot of French architecture from the period. After lunch, you'll walk around the city to get a feel for it, then you'll have time to rest before dinner.

Countryside and Temples
You'll leave Battambang to spend time with a local family in the countryside to experience daily life there. You'll visit Prasat Banan Temple from the 12th century, then head to Phnom Sampov where you can watch millions of bats coming out of caves as the sun sets.

Battambang to Phnom Penh
You're heading south to Phnom Penh. Along the way, you'll stop at Udong, a former capital from the 17th century, and at Kampong Chhnang to see how people make pottery by hand. Once you get to Phnom Penh, the evening is free for you to do what you like.

Phnom Penh
You'll take a cyclo ride to the Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda. After that, you'll visit Wat Phnom temple. Then you'll see the exhibits at the National Museum, which is housed in a striking Khmer-style building. Later, you'll visit the Tuol Sleng Museum to learn about Cambodia's recent difficult history.
