Oviedo to Grado

Grado to Salas
This day feels more manageable than yesterday. You'll tackle a short but steep climb to Alto de Fresno and can visit a small sanctuary there. From there the terrain softens as you follow the Narcea River to Cornellana, then the Nonaya River, arriving in Salas by afternoon. You're looking at 22.1 km over roughly 5 hours.

Salas to Tineo
Though the distance is shorter at 19.8 km, the terrain stays uneven throughout. You'll climb toward La Espina at nearly 700 metres elevation, but once you cross that high point, things get less steep. The path takes you through small villages like La Pereda and El Pedregal before Tineo. Expect about 5 hours of walking.

Tineo to Pola de Allande
One of the longer stages at 27 km comes with some of the best scenery so far. You'll pass through forests, valleys, and mountain landscapes that make the effort worth it. Starting from Tineo, you climb out and then descend toward Campiello before continuing on to Pola de Allande. This one takes roughly 7 hours.

Pola de Allande to Berducedo
By now you're settling into the trail rhythm. Today brings the route's toughest climb at Puerto del Palo, and when you reach the summit you'll see sweeping views of the Nison Valley spread out below. After that challenge, you continue to Berducedo. The total is 17.5 km over about 5 hours.

Berducedo to Grandas de Salime
What goes up comes down, and today you'll feel that on the dramatic descent to the Salime Reservoir Dam. It's steep but manageable. After crossing the Navia River, the walk becomes more relaxed as you head to Grandas de Salime. You're covering 20.4 km in approximately 5 hours.

O Cadavo to Lugo
