Amarante - Douro Valley - Amarante
Start your day wandering through Amarante's charming streets and checking out the historic São Gonçalo Bridge, which spans the Tamega River with its distinctive pink stone arches. The bridge is right in the heart of town, so you can walk across and take in the views of the surrounding area. After exploring the town center, you'll head to Régua for lunch, where you can grab something local before the afternoon activity. From there, you board a Douro River cruise that takes you through the terraced vineyards and valleys that make this region so distinctive. The steep hillsides covered in grapevines create a nice backdrop as you cruise past small villages and wine estates. Later in the evening you'll return to Amarante, leaving your time free to relax at your accommodation or stroll around town at your own pace.
